    Pearstone DVP-WA07-43 reviews

DVP-WA07-43 0.7x Wide Angle Lens Attachment is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Go Wide Nice addition to my Canon VIXIA HF M500 to convert the standard lens to 30mm wide. Used for interviews and interior b-roll with the camera zoomed wide the images are great - no different than with the wide adapter off. The only limitation is that the lens does show some significant distortion when your camera zoom is extended all the way. It is well documented that wide adapters (from other brands as well) work best at the camera's wide setting. You'll have to discover for yourself the threshold at which distortion starts to creep in, but for me it was pretty far out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great lens for the Hv20,30,40 I shoot mostly low budget films and do some motorsports videography and this lens has been perfect for those uses. I am not sure why the other reviewer said it wasn't great but to each his own. I've noticed people saying that the fit is not right but mine fits perfectly. I've gone so far as to hold my Canon HV40 out the window on the highway mainly by the lens and it's never so much as budged. It matches perfectly with the black HV30 and HV40 too, which is great. I give it 4 stars for VERY minimal distortion in some instances. I would recommend this lens to anyone who wanted an alternative to a heftier priced Canon lens.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Little Curve But I Wouldn't Give It Up The lens is kind of heavy, and it's hard to tell when it's fully attached to my HV30, leaving me in a state of fear while shooting. But I love the extra room it gives me in my shots. I can't find any other information or reviews of this Pearstone lens, so I didn't know what I was getting into when I bought it, but now that I have it I'm pretty happy. The canon WD-43 or whatever might be better, but this came w/ B&H's HV30 kit & that seemed easy. Glad I bought it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Lens I use this lens with my canon hv30. I initially brought it for my gz-hd6 but I got rid of that. This is a good wide angle lens, I haven't had any experience with any others but I'm satisfied with this one, it does just what it is attended for. And also I haven't had any problems with screwing it on or worrying if it will fall off my hv30, maybe I'm just special:).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Performance for its price I used this lens for covering conventions in LA, and shooting small room in Japan. It gives superb image on the wide side. I'm very happy with the image quality. However, when I want to zoom-in, the image tends to be hazy. Whenever I want to film something medium close-up, I need to take off this adopter. Well, it's inexpensive lens... so I'm happy with the outcome, and I recommend others (if you can stand of foggy image on tele-side)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Lens There is a difference, Its much wider not to an extent but you will see the difference, you can also zoom in with this wide lens which is good, if you're looking for a lens that can show an entire street then i dont suggest this since its not wide to the extreme but just a little difference

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! My wife bought this for Father's day this year and I did not know how much I would NEED this lens. I have done various shorts and a youtube series where almost all my shots were in an area where I always felt like Man I wish I could just see a little more. Well holy smokes this is what I have needed all this time!!! I did some tests shots and was blown away by the amount of extra space I can see!!!! The price is great and quality seems great for the few times I have played around with it. Attaches to the cam easily...I heard a rumor though that you cannot add ND filters...I have not tested that yet since I do not have any yet :) Only thing I do not like and it's very minor is that I need to take off the lens guard to use it. I figured it would still fit inside that but does not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WIDE ENOUGH This lens performs great. I needed a wider angle lens for my Panasonic HMC80. This lens was wide enough for what I needed. Also, it did not loose quality. I'm very happy with results. To use on the HMC80,remove the inner plastic cover on the lense cover. It pops right out and attach the lense. Also, this lense can use filters.
