    Sony HDM63VG reviews

Videographer Grade 63 Minute HDV/Mini DV Tape is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 134.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the best! I've done my research and this tape is great if you are looking for professional quality. If you take a look at the features and details about this tape than you will learn that it's professional quality that's better than most others. I've only been using them for a few months since they are so new so I can't say how they stand up to the test of time. Just make a back-up copy on your hdd or a disc which you should be doing anyways no matter how expensive the tape. The only complaint I have is the casing which is not a professional casing that you can open with one hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the Camera & TOSMA First of all, the service provided is by far the best ive had online. The prepaid package was sent quick and delivered like promissed. Great start for a new friendship betwheen seller and customer, me being the last one.Product:I have normaly used tapes of lower quality and im very pleased with this tape. In short, if you film with a MiniDV camera choose this tape. Also my camera is a HDR-FX7E from Sony and being a brand nerd i prefer sony products.Check out what the tapes have done so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGXrXPkAY6sAll the best and thanks agin, the suppliers will get more buys from me in the future. Thanks for reading and enjoy TOSMA, they rock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's pro quality These are awesome. I know it's digital, however the picture quality seems slightly better than standard tapes. I just filmed using 14 of these and I didn't get a single drop out. However, if you're filming with actors then always do another take for safety. :) Also, it has AME-2 technology which is in the Sony Master Tape. It doesn't get any better than that if you want to buy several of these. I did my research and the carrier to noise ratio is also BETTER than most other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality product & will buy it again. Perfect MiniDV tape for my Sony HDR-FX1000. No dropped frames at all, video & audio quality is second to none. Broadcast quality...yes. I've been using this Sony MiniDV HDM63VG Tape for almost a year now after i bought my very first Sony digital HD video camera. Low light, bright light, this tape captures high quality video and audio and i have not even use video light on my Sony HDR-FX1000. I recently ordered 10 tapes lately to use it for master recording. B&H Photo Video has a very good deal and customer service. ... Way to go B&H.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the extra money We are professional videographers and used these tapes for a shoot using Sony's HVR-Z1U cameras. We had two dropped frames. If the shoot is family stuff, choose cheaper tapes. If every frame counts, use Sony's Digital Masters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HDM63VG VG HDV Cassette - great quality I use the mini dv tapes for a variety of purposes, including documentary work and data capture for conceptual pieces.Consistent flow of tape and quality of image are dependable. No dropped frames, however I do run each cassette forward and back before use to avoid that potential problem. It's a habit. In a pinch where I needed only audio and not video, the tape captured what I needed.Having been very happy with the product as a repeat consumer, I would highly recommend it.
