Pelican iM2750 overview

  • 1Description

The Pelican iM2750 Storm Trak Case with Foam in black is an injection-molded case made of HPX high-performance resin, that is virtually unbreakable, dent and shatter resistant. It is tough, rugged, lightweight, air and watertight. There is a permanently attached Vortex valve that automatically adjusts air pressure without letting in water, and won't unscrew from the case. Press & Pull latches open with the push of a button, yet stay closed securely under impact or stress. The case has unbreakable molded-in hasps that allow the addition of standard-size padlocks. It has hinges with integrated feet that hold fast under impact, and create a flat surface for upright stability. You can carry it with the three double-layered, soft-grip, solid-core handles, or roll it with the lightweight and retractable telescoping handle and rugged in-line wheels.

This case has a multilayer cubed foam bottom and a convoluted foam pad in the lid.

    Pelican iM2750 reviews

iM2750 Storm Trak Case with Foam (Black) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from My favorite case I was concerned when Pelican bought Storm, but i'm so happy they were smart enough to keep the line open. Pelicans give me a hard time. Their latches are hard on the fingers and so difficult to pop open. storm has a better mechanism in my view. Te retractable handle never gets stuck, where i've had plenty of stuck Pelican ones. I've been using this line for almost 10 years, never had any issues. The only downside i find with them is that cosmetically, they will age very quickly. They are prone to scratches. But hey, i don't buy them to look good, i buy them to protect the valuable content, hopefully for the longest time possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IF YOU NEED THE DEPTH The Pelican story is well known-- well built, reasonably affordable protection for your gear. This is way too large as a carry on, so resign yourself to paying extra bringing her along on flights. That being said, the iM2750's weakness is also its strength. I needed a deeper case to safely store my Panasonic AG-AC90A camcorder WITH THE SHOTGUN STILL MOUNTED. Who in their right mind would resort to dismantling the screws and mic every time after every use. I know plenty who do, actually. This big boy takes up your front seat on run and gun shoots. The good news is, it stores everything a videographer would need for a shoot. The wheels and handle are helpful for that stroll across the airport.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Cases Made! We have used several of these cases and have been very satisfied with them all. The Storm case latches are much easier to work with then other manufacturer's. We have trucked, shipped, hand-carried and airline checked these cases and they have withstood the rough handling, even when over-loaded. The pluck-foam is great for quick-fitting and initally holds secure. But if the object in the case is going to be removed often, the pluck foam tends to come apart over time, especially around sharp edges. We have replaced the pluck foam with cut sheet foam for our high-use cases. We have used Pelican cases in the past, but have moved all our stuff to Storm cases now. Can't say enough great things about these cases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly as expected The box the case was in was damaged in shipping. While I was opening it at the shipping company's office to check for damage, I realized that if the case was damaged in shipping it would be really strange to have ordered it in the first place. Of course it wasn't damaged. The case is a little heavy, as expected, but it works perfectly for holding a mATX case pc and a slim lcd monitor and accessories. The downside is that it looks like it contains expensive equipment, so i'm more likely to get jacked in a dark parkinglot at night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Poduct I was familiar with Pelican's products, having used them in the Air Force. I bought this case for my new Nexstar 6SE telescope. The foam is partially precut in squares that I could remove easily yet the remaining foam holds in place very well. If you spend big bucks on a telescope or other delicate instruments/electronics, you should buy one of these to protect it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Case This is an excellent case and well worth the money. It protects my telescope and tripod motor mounts. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the foam creates a lot of static electricity, which shocks me a little when I unpack my equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ready for SW Asia I purchased this case after repeat military deployments destroyed all of my issued luggage. Pelican cases are everywhere in the AOR and there's a reason- the military is hard on everything! This case is the correct size to be checked baggage on all the airlines and can accept TSA locks. With the smooth rolling wheels and sturdy collapsible handle hauling my gear will be a breeze, and I won't have to worry about the elements taking their toll on my stuff like when my luggage sat out in a storage yard for 12 days in Krygzstan. Best of all it will double as a weather proof, lockable storage bin in my truck bed and will work great on camping trips. There are so many uses for this case I can't even begin to list them all. I expect to get a lifetime of use from my Pelican Storm and highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pelican is the best. This is the second Pelican case I've purchased and there's just not much else like them. One of them have toured around the world and shows no signs of giving up any time soon. The pluck foam was very easy to get into the shape I wanted. I think I only worked on it a couple of hours to set up a teleprompter package (with about six different pieces of gear in the same case). I definitely recommend Pelican products and expect to invest in one of their backpacks soon.
