    Sunpak 5800D reviews

5800D Tripod with 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head and Two Quick Release Plates is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from very nice, but hard to move up and down. I am happy with it as it happened to my first tripod. It came with a black bag and extra head to attach the camera...I thought it will come up very long but it doesn't, I am 4''11 so if you looking for a taller one this is not the one. Probably i didn't read well of how much high it will come up. Very hard to move it when positioning up and down when taking pictures. Example, turning it up to take a picture to the sky was very hard, I have to use my strong side lol to make it move to the position I want. It won't be the only one for me I will get other one that I can make it come up all the way to my head at least for taller view. In general good and very sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice for the Price!!! Wonderful inexpensive tripod! I am using this Sunpak 5800D tripod for portrait shots at home and when traveling because of it's small size and light weight. I couldn't believe an inexpensive tripod like this could come with two quick release plates, bubble levels and even a nice bag. The unit is lightweight, sufficiently sturdy for an SLR or DSLR camera and collapses to a relatively small size. The quality is surprisingly good for a unit in this price range! Can't comment on video use but for amateur photography highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My second one for a reason I had a 5800D for a while, about 2-3 years but it broke (I use it almost daily) so I went out and bought a tripod... Well, just any tripod doesn't work, I HAD to buy the same 5800D tripod. This super light weight tripod is easy to carry and quick to set up on location. I recommend it greatly to anyone looking for a quick set up and light maneuverability.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful Tripod! This tripod works great for portraits and long exposures! The 3-way panning comes in real handy for portraits. The retractable spikes are rather convenient when taking photos outdoors. The flip lever are nice and easy to work with, MUCH more convenient than twist-type locking mechanisms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For the money you can't beat it I bought the same sunpak tripod 3 years ago and never had a problem with it. Needed another tripod to hold my umbrealla and flash.Works great for what I need it for. only use it for light stuff. If you need a basic tripod with no frills that works and is easy to use and is inexpensive this is perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from no fluid effect OK for a compact still camera, but not for a video camera of any size. There is no fluid effect that I found. Panning motion grinds against the center piece. Fit and finish looks poor and it rattles when the head is panned. I expected a cheap tripod for this price, but not this cheap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny. I'm a complete novice, but it's obvious that this is a good tripod for the price. It's a breeze to use, and has some great features. The crank vertical adjustment is a plus. It has a built in level. And it also comes with a spare mounting base.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tripod for the $$$ This is my 2nd 5800D Sunpak tripod. Does everything I need it to do. I have had my first one about 3 years and never had a problem with it. Use them to hold my umbrella and flash when shooting portaits. For the $$$ you can't beat it.
