ARRI T1 overview

  • 1Description

The ARRI T1 Location Black Fresnel is an updated version of the Compact Series of location Fresnels. Combining research and feedback from around the world and advances in technology, ARRI has designed a series of six Fresnels with over 30 improvements for studio and location lighting. The True Blue Series has reduced weight, compact size and maximum light output.

ARRI's cross-cooling system reduces lamp housing temperature by 25% and lens temperature by 17%. With special air channels built into the aluminum extrusion, a constant stream of air passes around the Fresnel lens and into the lamp head regardless of the tilt angle.

When fitted with a 1000-watt bulb (available separately), this fixture will provide a 2.8' (0.9 m) diameter beam of 409 fc from a distance of 20' (6.1 m) at full spot. At full flood (same distance), it will provide a 48 fc with a 20.4' (6.2 m) diameter beam.

Stronger, Lighter
  • Pressure die cast and extruded aluminum components
  • Many components now offer greater strength and resistance to corrosion
  • Redesigned Stirrup
  • Stirrup mounting slides and can be adjusted to counterbalance all accessories
  • Soft contour makes the Fresnel comfortable to carry
  • The stainless steel friction disc locks securely even when large front-mounted accessories are being used
  • Easy Maintenance
  • Routine maintenance and repair are easier with fast, simple access to all internal components
  • Cleaning is almost effortless with smooth lamp housing surfaces
  • Safe
  • Meets IP23 standard; suitable for indoor or outdoor use providing a degree of protection against falling rain (up to a 60° angle from vertical)
  • CE rated and independently assessed TUV certification
  • Laser-cut hexagonal safety mesh lets out more light and is tough enough to withstand location abuse

    ARRI T1 reviews

T1 1000W Location Fresnel with Stand Mount (Black, 120-240 VAC) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from T1 And Counting Long overdue, but I finally picked up two ARRI T1s to round out my light kit for corporate, documentaries and short films. The only reason I didn't get these sooner is my production vehicle was maxed out on space. With a new production van on order I was finally able to expand my light kit with five new fixtures. I've been getting by with a used ARRILite 1K as my largest fixture for two years, but am so glad to finally add two T1s to my kit. Great lights! Well worth the wait. The only reason I order black finish on nearly all of my ARRI lamps is other regional crews have the typical ARRI Blue and natural aluminum finish. Having all black lights helps insure no other crews accidentally walk off location with my fixtures. Only thing to be aware is the locking latch handle sticks out quite a bit. I lost one full lamp spot in my case (KATA Maze-4 usually holds four ARRI lamps) but now only have room in that case for the two T1s and a 650 Plus. It's a small thing, but if you're planning on keeping your existing cases you might want to factor this into your budget for potentially needing new or larger cases. I ended up buying a second KATA Maze-4 case, two KATA Palms-2 and a smaller KATA One Man Band case to accommodate the remainder of my kit.
