How to attach to a stand?
Asked by: Anonymous
A reflector holder such as the B&H# IMLSRH will work. You may need to reflector holders if you want it to be very stationary.

question

Is the Black and mid gray oval, collapsible and 6x7 just like the the black and white model appears to be? Or does it have square corners like the picture? Will the Magnetic Background Support work with it?
Asked by: Tom W.
It is oval. The material is great quality, and has a sturdy framing. I did not use a support stand. Worked surprisingly well leaned against a wall. Well worth the money spent.

question

How close is this mid-grey to 18% grey?
Asked by: Jeffrey
It's going to be pretty different. The % is how much light reflects BACK to the camera off the backdrop. 18% is going to be darker, so using background lights or strobes is going to be less effective. 50% will give you a perfect surface to either blacken completely, or turn to complete white, or any color you can come up with. 18% cards and such are great for balancing WB and exposure, but wouldn't use as a backdrop unless a darker look is what you're trying to achieve. in that case it's fine

question

I have 2 similar backgrounds I got from Denny. They work fine BUT when I arrive on location I have to set them up and wait about 45 minutes for the wrinkles and creases to work themselves out. Are these the same or do they pop up perfectly flat like the material in a reflector?
Asked by: Robin
I have used the Lastolite 6x7 reversible background on location about 6 times. It pops open ready to use. I have used it supported by a stand and free standing shooting first with one side then flipping it to the other. In EVERY situation it pops open ready to go. It has replaced the paper, vinyl and xframe backgrounds I have used in the past. Definitely worth every penny. Good shooting!
