This is a B&H exclusive Lowel Tota-Light Two-Light Kit with umbrellas and light stands. Compact, rugged, and versatile, the broad-throw Tota-Light can be used with its umbrella or gel frame and diffusion as a soft key light, fill light, or backlight. With its adjustable reflectors, it can be a smooth and even background light, or point it at the ceiling to raise the ambient (base) light level of a room. Tota-Lights are also widely used for photographic copy work.

When fitted with an EMD 750W bulb, each Tota-Light will emit a beam of 41 footcandles with the barndoors at normal position, and 34 footcandles with the barndoors at 180° position, from a distance of 10' (3m).

Add bulbs of your choice of 300, 500, or 750W. Bulbs for 220-240 VAC and plug adapters are also available.

The Tota-Light can be rotated a full 360° with the large, stay-cool, plastic adjustment knob

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality suffers for more profit I purchased the same tota Light kit 5 or six years ago and the Lamps are identical with exception of the switch on the cord. The switches seem to be a lower quality. The main issue I had was concerning the Impact Light Stands. The materials used are cheap and do not equal the ones that I purchased just a few years ago. I feel that I paid to much for the kit with the quality of the Light stands in question.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I had never used professional lighting like this. The instructions for setup and use were easy to understand. The product was easy to set up and it folds up into a small portable size for travel. I did not get the one with the carry case, but found a suitable carry bag for it. Come with cages to go around the lights to prevent glass from hitting you in the case of bulb shatter. They get very warm, but if turned off for breaks seem to be okay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice lighting setup These lights worked just fine for my purpose, which was photographing artwork for a friend. I still need to try them out for portraits. Somehow the quantity went wrong in my order so I only ended up receiving one bulb. I went to a home improvement store in the area and bought bulbs for each of my two lights. They were not frosted, but worked fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous product! I ordered this kit so I could set up my documentation photography for the art conservation projects I am involved in. T he equipment arrived sooner than I expected and exceeded and expections I had. The quality is excellent and the carrying kit is perfect for transporting the lights to whatever project I am working on. Just don't forget to purchase the lightbulbs you need for the Tota-lights, as they don't come with the kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome for weddings!! I use the product for wedding videos, usually the lighting is terrible when it comes time for dancing part of the night so i use the tota lights to help out. The provide a nice light and I can pick up a clean shot. Sometimes the light can be distracting because they are so bright but you have to place them properly so that they don't ruin the mood of the event as well be annoyance for the guests.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Portrait lights Great kit, very portable. Very versatile, can be used in studio settings and on location. I used both lights with 750w EMD lamps, and it didn't blow the circuit in the residence where I was shooting. The lights were quite hot by the end of the shoot, but cooled down quickly. All pieces of the kit were very well made and sturdy. This is a wonderful light kit to start with and very reasonably priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as Expected This is my first lighting kit that I have purchased, and so far I have been very satisfied. I needed something that was small, portable, and easy to assemble and disassemble. With very little effort I was able to connect the Tota lights to the Tota stands, install the umbrella, and begin using the lights. Of great note is the air cushioned stands that do not drop when you loosen the extensions. This provides some back up to prevent the light from falling quickly when you are disassembling at the end of the shoot. I found that using 750W bulbs were a bit too powerful for my talking head interviews. I switched to 500W (and in one case 300W) for my key light and obtained the look I desired. I have not tried to light a large area (perhaps for chroma keying purposes), but I imagine that the 750W bulbs would work excellently for this. With any wattage the lights get very hot, but this is well documented and expected. One small concern was installing the bulb/lamp into the Tota light. The springs are very stiff and installing the bulb takes quite a bit of pushing. At first I was concerned that pushing too hard would damage the bulb, so I was hesitant in pushing. After installing the bulb though I can see that my concerns were due to my inexperience with this light and the tight springs are both normal and necessary.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I Would Buy this product, but.... Lights are very handy to use. puts a nice warm soft effect on subject, if you bounce it, But every good things comes with 1 or 2 things that you wouldn't like.... STANDS!!! they are VERY LIGHT and not too high... We use these lights at banquet halls and very ofter people bump into them and these stands are so light if any one passes by they fall easily. i Had to bud extra sand bags to put a hold on them. other then that i am happy with lights.
