SV840K AC/DC Video Light Kit and Charger (120V AC) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointment used with canon vixia compact camcorder that is known for low-light issues. considered lowell ID light but could not justify twice the price. SV light is only marginally effective at 8 feet. glare requires 1/4-stop tough spun which further weakens coverage. gets hot quickly, barn doors allow considerable leakage, 5600K filter is poorly designed. cigarette lighter connection is not reliable. battery gives tolerable power. carrying bag has strap that is too short. on the whole, disappointed and will probably sell as soon as we finish this job

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good tool Well, I purchased 2 of these. My wife and I are wedding photographers and needed some portable light options for low light receptions, etc. These work well. Battery life is poor and it is a little bulky. Over all a good product. I have only used them 3 times though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile video light This is a compact but powerful video light. It is well constructed and built for abuse. But, some of the design features are lacking. I had expected to run this on batteries then switch over to AC. This can be achieved, but not easily. The light comes with a 12v bulb. To switch to AC, the light has to cool off and the bulb physically replaced with a 125v bulb which could take as long as half an hour, depending on how hot the light is. I have no desire to see what happens if I forget to swap the bulb before plugging it into the AC. Additional bulbs must be purchased separately. It gets really hot with a 100watt bulb. I searched for compatible bulbs and found a 125v 35watt bulb better suited for an on-camera light. Because of the field of view, the light might be better left on a light stand. The battery is heavy, but comes wired with a standard cigarette lighter connector. If the battery is not being used for the light, it can be used for any other 12v device. It uses a common battery which is easily replaced. My only complaint is that there is no indicator lights or voltage meter. Thankfully, an automotive volt meter which can plug into a cigarette lighter will monitor the charging and current condition of the battery.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Product.. I liked a lot this light, but the battery doesnt last that longer, I thought that the battery life was better, but it lasts an hour with a 35w lamp, one thing that i like is that you can store the lamp in the same case with the battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A professionals choice Product is light weight and durable. The barn doors are wider than most units which provide greater submission of light direction. Filter is a plus for in door use. Battery pack fits comfortably over shoulder.
