The Tram TR50 is a professional omnidirectional electret condenser lavalier microphone with a low-profile design resulting in low visibility. The TR50 features a frequency response that enhances the character and frequencies associated with speech.

The polar pattern provides a generous pick up response at the direct and off-axis sections of the microphone capsule. This enhances sensitivity and minimizes noise associated with movement, wind and clothing contact. The TR50 features minimum sound coloration and is available in a variety of connectors for direct integration with wireless transmitters. This version features a 1/8" (3.5mm) connection for use with Sennheiser EW wireless transmitters.

The TR50 is powered by your Sennheiser EW transmitter, but can also be hard-wired with the assistance of the TR79 power supply, not included. The TR79 accepts external Phantom power or uses internal battery power.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally , the perfect Live lavaliere... I'm a local DJ who also provides live sound for ceremonies. Every set of lavaliere mics I've tried were great for recorded audio but had a terrible amount of feedback. I've been through the ME2 mics that come with the Sennheiser EW100 wireless packs and the Countryman B6. Both proved rather useless when it came to live sound. The Tran TR50 on the other hand has a nice flat natural sound that required very little EQ to prevent feedback. The Cable is very sturdy and should provide years of use. I LOVE these mics! The only drawback is they are a bit larger than I'd like, but with creative placement that problem is soon remedied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WORKS WITH ROLAND R-O5 WITHOUT PHANTOM P This mic will work with the ROLAND R-05 without phantom power or extra adapter power. All you have to do is turn on the PLUG in POWER in the menu settings. Also do this next step.. On the r-05 you can change the plug in power voltage from 0.9 volts to 1.2 volts. There is a hidden menu you can access by pressing the AB/Split button together with the Menu button. It will display what looks like the normal menu screen but with an extra option choice #8 that says Special Setup. Mic Bias which is default set to *0.9 v change it to 1.2v SO THIS WILL GIVE YOUR TRAM TR50 MORE POWER

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tram TR50 - Quality I used to work with Tram TR50 mics years ago. The company I work for bought several Sennheiser Evolution 100 G3 Wireless system which came with a ME2 omnidirctional condenser mic. After one or two years of continual use, those mics eventually died. I recently purchased two Tram TR50 microphones with the 1/8 connectors to go with my Sennheiser systems. What a great mic! Great tonality, rugged, easy to use. The TR50 comes with several clips and other clip options from the B&H website.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Received a defective mic These mics are good when they work. I bought two of them at the same time and used them for a wedding a month or so later and found out that one of them was defective. BH told me I was past my 30 days warranty and I had to contact TRAM. TRAM has no phone number for CS on their website. BH gave me a number to call but I have received a voicemail the last 3 days. I will never purchase a TRAM product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality lav, well worth the money! I am a professional videographer doing weddings, conferences, events, short films, etc. I use these on a regular basis with my Sennheiser wireless kits. I have attached a photo showing a comaprison of the TR-50 to the Sennheiser ME2 and Rode smartLav+. All 3 files were recorded with the lavs in the same position and distance from the source. The TR-50 has such a crisp audio file, with no excess noise. Well worth the money. The other two do a good job, the Tram just does an exceptional one!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Fragile I'd heard great things about these lav mics, I bought two, and they did sound great. But both failed after less than an hour's use. The cords had suffered internal wire separation. On one, it was a failure right at the jack, as it would come on and off if you wiggled it there. The other just went dead, probably at the same place, but no amount of wiggling could make it live again. For the price, these should be more robust.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great But Not the best I got these to use them under clothing. The kit given doesn't seem to offer those capabilities, had to re-invent a method. To my surprise the (TD) Tape Down is the most useful of the items for that purpose, u can even put another one on top of it, binding skin and cloth together where the mic is not touching any of its bordered surfaces. Price is excellent for the quality and practicality. Other microphones are well on the competitive level, but not for the price. On the pickup side, they give great sound. they are well worth the money spent. PS: i got a big skin Band-aid and and glued it to the TD with the mic on all facing the clothing side inside towards the outside. No clothing sound ( I mean NO clothing sound at all) Happy to purchase them. These are industry standards and whomever you tell you got trams is directly impressed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not reliable When the mic works I love the accessories, and sound. But I sent the first one back and the one Tram sent to replace the first one does the same thing the first did. I use it with a Sennheiser wireless mic on a canon XLH1. Initially the mic works fine then after an hour or so I start getting background noise that is picked up in the headphones and verified during playback. I always have to go back to the Sennheiser mic which works fine, it just does't have the wind and attachment feature I like with the Tram.
