Holga 35C Overview

  • 1Description

The black 135 Plastic 35mm Camera from Holga is a "toy" camera that produces unpredictable results due to its plastic construction that adds vignettes and light leaks to your images. These effects are desired for their artistic qualities.

The camera has a fixed 47mm plastic lens, with two apertures, f/8 and f/11. A 1/4"-20 tripod mount is located on the bottom, and a hot shoe is on the top for attaching a flash. There is a built-in shutter release adapter so a basic cable release will work with the camera. A lens cap and strap are included with the camera.

    Holga 35C Reviews

135 Plastic 35mm Camera (Black) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical Toy Camera I really wanted to get into fun aspects of photography. In my area there are very limited choices of film development for 120/220 film and even then it is pricey. Not having any schooling in development, I rely on commercial processing. I was happy to find the option of the Holga 35mm. I am only on my second roll, but it has lots of possibilities and I am having a good time learning the capabilities of the camera. The filter sets may be next on my list. I would recommend to anybody who wants the fun of a plastic lens camera but the affordability of easy film development. You must remember that this is only a plastic camera and care should be taken with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted I love this camera because it is small, portable and not too precious to tote with me to any party, or event. It's got that Holga look to the film (vibrant color, unpredictability, etc) but because it is a 35mm it is much easier to buy and develop film conveniently. As an art student this camera gives me great opportunity to experiment....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for nostalgic artistic shots This camera makes great basic photos. Light leaks in somewhat which gives it a great artsy effect. The double exposure is fun and the manual controls work well. This is like an artistic version of the disposable camera with more capability and replaceable film.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap and Fun We love our holgas and we are not alone. I work primarily with digital and the holga introduces so much beyond my control. Be sure to check out the modifications that people make on them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fun little toy Perfect for snap shots. I just bought this about a month ago and took it on a trip, travels nice and light. It's pretty simple and basic which is good if you haven't used a manual before, but i wish I had a little more control. I used it mostly in the day but some of the pictures as it got to be dusk didn't turn out so well. Overall, I like what I see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love this Little Camera! For lovers of the Holga 120 who have a difficult time getting 120 film processed, this is a fantastic alternative. I had read that the 135 did not achieve the vignettes that the 120 does, and this may be true to some extent. BUT, it does indeed vignette in the corners in the lovely and unpredictable way that Holga lovers crave.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun camera It's what you'd expect from a Holga. Low quality pictures but in a good way. This is exactly why I bought the camera in the first place. Really expands your way of looking at photographs and slowing down to actually look at what you're taking pictures of rather than dealing so much with camera controls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for me I use this all around, in town, on trips. I love the price, but you do get what you pay for. In my case not having a flash was not a big deal, and you can always order one later. This camera is super fun to experinent with, and I love messing around with double exposures! No bad qualities.
