The Panasonic AY-DV63PQUS Mini DV Pro Cassette uses AME (Advanced Magnetic Evaporation) technology to provide high signal output and consistent durability and reliability in a recordable videocassette. It has a rugged ABS resin shell that prevents warp damage and cassette housing damage. An anti-static treated cassette lid repels dust, debris, and contaminants, minimizing dropouts. The cassette case is molded from a resin that won't break, even if dropped. The 2-way lid construction lets you easily extract the tape with one hand, even while shooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality videotape I have long been a user of TDK videotape, but it is starting to get harder to find (and more expensive). For the past year or so, I have switched to using this Panasonic video tape and have been very impressed. No dropouts, no jamming, and the extra 3 minutes on each tape really adds up over the course of a long shoot. The cassette cases are made from a high-impact plastic which won't crack if dropped, and they can be opened conventionally or via a smaller door on the end, facilitating one-handed access. So long as I keep DV cameras around, I will also be keeping plenty of these great tapes on hand, as they have become my top choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again. As a professional Videographer, I have used other Mini DV tapes in my career, I own a Canon GL2 and a Canon XL2, And I found out that it is wise to stay with one brand of video tape, So I tried Panasonics PQ 63 minute tapes at our Church shooting Sunday services, The results are astonishing, crisp, clear and the results after we transfer to DVD's, There were no drop out's even on the 3rd and 4th generation. The other brand of tapes left a bad reputation on us due to poor quality, So in closing, I recommend Panasonics tapes. At least try them once and you will see the difference. And that's why I stay with B&H, They have everything I need for my video's and photography needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my product of chioce I am a professional Legal Videographer and my reputation is at stake everytime I record a legal video on my video camera. These tapes have never let me down and have come to rely and depend on them to give the best recording possible under a variety of conditions. I also do other types of videography and I have found that they are my choice for product shoots and corporate and business testamonials as well. The only thing I don not care for, which has nothing to do with the recording quality, is that they can be a bit hard to label, especially if you have a lot of info to get on it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great economical value, reliable, study I've been shooting professionally on MiniDV Cameras - Panasonic HVX-200a, Sonv V/Z1U's, Canon XH-A1 - for over 5 years and these tapes have never failed. I've had a dropped frame here or there, and I had a tape break once in the camera. But considering I buy these in bulk and have shot over 2000 tapes, there isn't much I can really hold against the product. I like the softer plastic case over the much harder, shatterable plastic cases on may of the other tapes. The tapes have been fine dunked in water, left in the sun, rarely have an issue. None of these have been to the extreme but lets be honest, what would survive that? I solely purchase this tape stock and will continue to for a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality and Value I have been using these tapes exclusively now for over a year..when I migrated over from Sony after a bad batch that caused some missed critical footage and an unhappy bride. I shoot a lot of Weddings and Quinceaneras and I am never disappointed in the great images I am able to capture with them. I have never had any issues with dropped frames or a bad batch, EVER. I also love the casing, which is virtually unbreakable. If you are still shooting SD video, this is one to use hands down! I still plan on using my trusty GL2 with these tapes as a backup when I finally do go HD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I have used over 200 of these tapes and I have never had a problem with them. No dropped frames. No warbling of audio. No loss in video quality. These tapes are a videographer's dream. High quality at a very good price. You can't go wrong!
