GoPro Ride HERO overview

  • 1Description

GoPro's Handlebar / Seatpost / Pole Mount is a tube clamp for mounting any GoPro to your bike's seatpost or handlebars. It allows you to capture a lower point of view than, for example, a helmet mount does. It can also be attached to chainstays or any other bar/pole between 0.75 - 1.4" diameter. The included orientation adjusting mount provide numerous position options.

    GoPro Ride HERO reviews

Handlebar / Seatpost / Pole Mount is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 68.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome For Bikes! I use this GoPro mount for my mountain bike pretty much everytime I hit the trails. I love it! The only thing is that it can only be put on to certain parts of the bike. If you want to attach your GoPro to a larger frame or a part that is larger then usual, I'd recommend the roll bar GoPro mount, which is essentially the same as this just a bit wider as its meant for larger diameter. This mount is also great for a ski pole when you want to do some filming of yourself or want some extra distance with a boom.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as Steady as I thought it would be I used this to shoot some shots from a shopping cart in a grocery store. I mounted one to the bar you push on and one inside the cart. The footage on the bar was shaky and unuseable and the one inside seemed fine. So I do not know what we did wrong but to me the footage should be steady every time. CONSIDERING we are on smooth flooring and moving like 2 MPH with good wheels on the cart. And these attachments/camera are meant for ACTION SPORTS, I was blown away this was shaky at all. Either I am do something wrong some of the time or this product is a bit faulty. Would probably complain less if the GoPro had a way to WATCH the video without having to remove the memory card, etc...but that is a whole other review.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not useful for mountain biking With any sort of aggressive riding, I found that the camera was constantly moving and rotating on the handlebars. It got me through the day but is in the trash now. When trying to tighten the screws so the mount doesn't move, the plastic bends. I can see how it might be good for road riding or somewhere where there is less vibration. It's a pretty weak design.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Price is right Not a big deal, but if you want to mount the thing on your handle bars, it faces the wrong way ! I guess you would want it to face forward, right? It actually faces left, or right, depending on how you mount it. I guess though, it is cheap enough for the company to make such an obvious error !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ONLY use with great care! It looks like the perfect companion to the Hero camera, but DON'T use this product on a moving object that is subject to external forces or vibration. On first use, I used this mount to fix the MotorSports Hero on the crash bar of my dual sport motorcycle and drove it on a gravel road. The mount broke (one of the small arms) due to the vibration and the camera was lost. Even though it was built as small/short as possible. It's relatively easy to use but doesn't seem to support the weight of the camera when subjected to external forces. This quite limits the use of the motorsports Hero, as any real mounts need to be custom made. This mount would probably be good for your baby carriage though, as you will most likely notice if it breaks off and you will not loose your camera. GoPro accepts no warranty due to damage resulting from use, so using it is your responsibility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Add versitility to your GoPro Great GoPro mount. I use this on my bicycle, on a ski pole as a pole cam, hook it to cables, and to where ever I have the right diameter tubing. I am always looking for mounts to get that unique perspective with my GoPro cameras. This is one of my must have attachments.I am a film professional. The categories below are not applicable, but funny. Rated 5 out of 5 by from GoPro bicycle mount Attached to the handlebars of my bicycles (road racers): Pros: combination of the mount attachments and padding reduces vibrations in the movies being recorded Mounting upside down on the handlebars better than upright for easy reach to the buttons on the GoPro, while maintaining bike control Plenty of attachments to customize where to attach GoPro camera Cons: requires either a screwdriver or a GoPro wrench to tighten thumbscrews sufficiently to insure stability while riding

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hope it last I've used this for several weeks, and don't know if it's is gonna last because when I attach it to my my bike's handle bar it bends too much, but it work very good.
