Sekonic 401-757 Overview

The Sekonic Exposure Profile Target II provides the photographer with an easy, reliable and fast way to test your camera's sensor. Sensors, being as touchy as they are, can be subject to a variety of influences when shooting. This target gives you the chance to find out exactly where your sensor falls on the exposure scale.

By making three basic exposures (one centered, one at +3 and one at -3), you can easily find the right exposure for any camera lens combination.

Note:
Compatible with Data Transfer Software as well as the 758DR and 758C meters

question

i have L-758c sekonic and d810 nikon. I'm confused between sekonic target ii and X-rite colorchecker passport. what do you recommend me?
Asked by: Wael A.
I recommend the X-rite ColorChecker Passport. The profile is certainly interesting to create. The software exports Minimum, Maximum and Gray point to the meter. This enables precisely placing spot measured exposures. It also makes the incident (white dome) tuned to your camera's exposure system. Once the Sekonic target is used for the test, it has little function afterward. The ColorChecker was created to get the very best colors in your image. And then adapted to Sekonic use through the Sekonic DTS software. If you have not use an Xrite CC, you are in for a treat. It was the single biggest help I have ever had (I already knew how to make the meter sing and dance). MY VOTE: Xrite CCPP

question

Is it more accurate to use this than a ColorChecker Passport in order to create calibration profiles for a Sekonic L-478D meter?
Asked by: Anonymous
I'm not an expert and therefore what I say here shouldn't be taken as such. My impression from readings and webinars (especially those with Joe Brady) is that both 'targets' (the Color Checker Passport and this one) will yield the same results. This target is much larger, however, and therefore perhaps easier to use. I use this (the Exposure Profile Target II) and have found the resulting camera profiles to be accurate.

question

Can you please tell me the DIMENSIONS of this card? Thanks!NBrown
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately Sekonic does not publish the dimensions in our system, and I do not have access to our inventory to inspect it, but according to the notes in our system, its pacakged dimensions are 14 long x 9 inches wide. This is likely very close to the actual dimensions of the target.
