Boasting a focal length range of 10 - 24mm, (the 35mm equivalent of 16mm to 37mm) this lens has a varied range of applications for creating dramatic images as it features both ultra-wide and semi-wide angle settings.

The B+W 77mm MRC 103M Solid Neutral Density 0.9 Filter is a very nice option for this lens, B&H # BW103MC77. That filter will work very well.

Is this the newest upgrade for the Tamron 10-24 lens?
Yes. This is the latest incarnation. Make sure you are purchasing it for a crop sensor. It's a fantastic lens. You can use it on a full frame sensor, but you'll have to keep it above 15mm. On a crop sensor you'll be amazed.
