Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice paper ! I use this product quite a lot and I like it ... so do my clients. It is bright and takes the canon CLI-42 inks well. The resulting prints are stunning and the paper is substantial; it has nice feel to it. I use this term (feel) because many of my clients have offered exactly that description. Others have said Oh, I see you use very high quality paper. (My writing of this review was just interrupted by a call from a client that may be of interest. He said The prints are beautiful. I have just had them framed and they are on their way to my family. Thank you!. These were all printed on 13 x 19 paper.) This is truly an excellent product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If your looking for Glossy, buy this paper. If your printing on a Canon printer I would recommend sticking to Canon paper, unless you were to buy some real fancy dancy paper that the name brand comepedtors do not make. I love this paper, and find myself constantly switching back between this and their pro luster almost daily. Tho all Canons pro line paper is great for my style of shooting where I need those colors to just pop this is the one. If your in the market for a Glossy Canon paper, I wouldn't cheap out. I know telling you this unless you already have some sort of understanding will sound funny but listen when I say just pay the few extra dollars, for 30 less sheets of paper and you won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow I am very impressed with the results. I did some test prints on several HP papers as well as the Canon Luster Pro paper. Pro Platinum even blows Luster Pro out of the water. The color saturation is beautful. So rich.I am using a Canon PIXMA Pro 100.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Colors and Feel The claim by Canon is that color prints made with their inks and this paper can last 200 years. I can't speak to that :) But the prints are spectacular ! The colors are bright, the whites are white, and the blacks are black. My clients always remark about the feel of the paper. Many times they have said You use quality paper !!. I agree with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It I use Museo Silver Rag and decided to try the Pro Platinum paper. I run both through my Canon Pixma IP5200 which is not recommended, but it works. This Canon paper has more gloss and is whiter than the Museo. They are both 300 gsm (80 lb). I like heavy paper. I love this paper, but I do like the idea of the Museo's 100% cotton, so I will use both.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Last Step To A Complete Home Setup Although well educated in photography and design, I am not enough of a professional to make any specific claims about the quality of this product. However, even on my low end canon printer the results are incredible and will not disappoint. The paper's heavy weight feels very durable and the tones and colors, especially in the shadows, are excellent. I went through University having to take my files to a professional lab to be printed. It would often take days to get the images back and significantly damage my bank account. Now, a beautiful image can be outputted at home, in a color managed environment, for a fraction of the cost. I can't wait till the day I can afford a large-format setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crisp, Bright Prints I ran several tests prints on my new Canon PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II printer, comparing Canon's Pro Platinum to several Ilford papers (Galerie Smooth Glossy & Smooth Pearl, Classic Glossy & Pearl, and Smooth Lustre Duo). The differences were not striking but are noticeable. Pro Platinum won hands down for bright, colorful prints and is now my paper of choice. The ink absorbs almost immediately, so there is no smudging, although I still take the recommended precaution of letting prints dry for a full 24 hours. Pro Platinum is clearly worth the small price premium in my view.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marginally the Best Used for color printing in a iP100 printer with Canon Chromalife Inks only. I purchased a pack of Pro Platinum and Glossy II Canon paper to compare with Wholesale Pro Glossy paper which I usually use -with great results I might add. The test prints looked identical at first glance, but by marking the backs and shuffling, they appeared to be in this order: 1.Wholesale Pro Glossy, .55oz per sheet 2.Canon Glossy II, .60oz per sheet 3.Canon Pro Platinum (best).65 oz per sheet Because of the extremely small differences I'd suggest using 1. for most jobs and only using 3. for archival prints, or for situations where the prints are sold and packaged in plastic film. Platinum Pro paper is expensive and I think it's main benefit is the archival benefits, best quality, and heavier weight which may make it more durable. I don't see any need to use 2. Note:I used 2 test photos one a street scene with dog, bicycle, wood house, lot's of small details, and the other a woman's portrait with skin, hair, and gold dress.
