    Lexar LCF8GBDRBNA233 Reviews

Professional Compact Flash 233x 8GB Memory Card is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 78.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic CF Card I am a wildlife photographer and shoot with a Canon 50D. With the 50D's larger file sizes I need a lot more CF cards than I ever did with the 30D. I have a Lexar 133x 8GB card and like it a lot so after trying two Dane Elec UDMA cards that did not work with my camera I decided to go with a known winner. I read that the 233x UDMA was basically indistinguishable from the 300x so I went with the cheaper card. I would definitely recommend it. It is a much faster write and read time than anything I already have. I do not have a firewire reader but a built in on one in my desktop pc. It works great with this card. You will love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertized... I have the 233x version and an older 133x version of this card. Both work perfectly. I use these in Nikon D300 and D700 cameras and the cards do not seem to slow multiple exposures. I have never lost a file on either card (I've shot thousands of images on these cards). I will continue to purchase. This card came with a link to a file recovery utility which was pretty neat also. I'm sold on Lexar Pro

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast access Wow, so much faster than my 133x CF card. I can download photos to my computer in no time flat. No problems with it at all - it just works!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible!! I have used another brand of memory cards for years and never had even one problem but B&H did not have that brand in stock so I buy this Lexar Professional card and I have now lost over 400 pictures that can never be taken again. The card is corrupted and is not even recognized by my computer so recovery software is not even an option. I know the problem is not with the computer or reader because the other non-Lexar cards worked fine. I will go back to the other brand and throw this one in the trash can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A really great card I have a Canon D50 and shoot in raw. It has a 16 picture buffer. I shoot at 6 frames per second for flying birds. On my other slow 4 gig card when the buffer was filled I had to wait just over 15 seconds for the buffer to return to 16 pictures again. Now it seems to happen in 6 seconds. Is this card great? Yes it is !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as expected Card worked as expected w/ no corrupted pictures on a recent trip to Pacific NW. Only issues observed - which may be camera-related rather than card-related - is that if I tried to review the picture too soon after taking it, it would occasionally be lost. As this has sporadically happened w/ other cards am guessing that it may be a timing issue where my pushing the button to review the picture may be interfering in some way w/ the camera writing to the card. (same has happened occasionally w/ other cards) Also, I had one instance where the camera reported that the card was full but turning the camera off and back on cleared the issue. Have since successfully copied all pictures off the card with no apparent corruption issues. Calling it 4 stars until I use it a bit more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This card delivered I used this card on two rather long shoots. The card worked smoothly and rapidly. I usually don't this large of a card. When shooting RAW the extra space is needed. Good product for the money. It also included the recovery software that can be used on other cards.
