The Leica E82 Filter Adapter makes it possible to mount Leica E82 filters on to the Leica 21mm f/1.4 Summilux-M Aspherical lens. Since this adapter ring features a hollowed out core, viewing thru the rangefinder is still possible. This also allows for polarizing effect to be judged directly through the viewfinder.

E82 Filter Adapter for Leica 21mm f/1.4 Summilux-M Aspherical Lens is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well It is the only way to mount any filters by purchasing this adapter. M21 Summilux diameter at 60mm is very rare and no replacement for other brands indeed. Obviously, it's expensive as there is costing few US dollars only for any other step-up/down adapter at Mainland China market. But Leica is Leica lol..... At last, I'm very surprised that parcel was rec'd in excellent condition. (FYR photo) I'm very appreciated and happy to use B&H again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You just need it light and strong, you just need it to mount other filters on your Summilux M21 lens, like variable ND filters, but it will block the viewing window of the M8 or M9, not a problem if you set the camera to tripod, frame then attach the ND filter,
