Hi. I just bought one from you. However I have a question about the UV filter. Do we have UV filter which can directly attach to it just like f/3.4 version? Or we must buy the filter adapter? Just feel strange when I see the adapter on camera body. Thanks. Shihyang

Dear ShihYang C,Greetings. I too just recently purchased the Leica 24mm Summilux ASP as my first one (along with my M8 and 35mm lens ) was stolen in Thailand. My last lens I did not have a UV filter, but only one my 35mm Summilux), but that was mounted to a M8 and according to everything I read at the time they strongly suggested that a UV filter be used otherwise many of my pictures could experience some color distortions, which did happen without the UV filter. But with my new Leica M 240, I read where that issue had been corrected and that the filter was no longer needed. Another reason for the filter was to protect the actual lens itself from dust. With both of my news lens, I have not added UV filters and most likely will not as the pictures taken so far have been utterly fantastic.Hope you enjoy your Leica equipment as much as I have over the years.Sincerely,Dominic
