    Apple MB572Z/B reviews

Mini DisplayPort to VGA Display Adapter is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 114.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mini DisplayPort to VGA Display Adaptor The mini adaptor works, it's just that when I adapt the mini to the VGA display unit cord, the socket on the the mini is too shallow to allow the other external plug from being able to screw down to the mini for a firm, secure physical connection. It connects, just not as securely as I'd like. The older Apple adaptor was superior in this regard. We could all hook the older adaptor to the mini and then run to the VGA, but who wants to do that? However, beyond this aspect, the mini adaptor works fine. Trouble is, if ya want to try something else, there isn't another adaptor that fits the need considering the new port system on the imacs and needing to output to the VGA system. In this case, I have to recommend the device to someone else or they're not gonna be able to teach/project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly! Does what it says... hooked into my macbook pro, connnected it to the VGA cable then to my infocus projector. Works fine. Make sure your system display preferences are set to mirror the display (check the box).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If Apple has made something, rest assure If Apple has made something, rest assure it is the very best out there. I am a documentary photographer and have to give presentations about my work everywhere I go. It has worked for me in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Canada, Kenya, Tanzania, USA and everywhere I have gone, with whatever projector provided to me at any given time, and never failed once. Need I say more?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again and I did I'm a photographer and occasionally need to connect my laptop plasma screens to run slideshows during weddings bar mitzvahs and sweet 16s. While I've had HDMI cords fail on me this adapter has proven to work every time. I purchased this product as a backup in case I lose my first one. I would recommend this product again and again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from we don't respect anything non-Apple if you're a Mac user, and only want to connect to other Apple products, you won't feel this pain. but any time you want to use anything normal out there - you begin to say Jobs with the same hateful intonations as BillGates. i got this adapter to connect a projector to a MacBook Air. this is meant to be plug and play. it is, if you don't mind missing the color red. you don't have it at all. you *can* the color red, but for that you have to connect things in a particularly inconvenient order: first, the adapter to the Air; then, the VGA cable to the adapter; only then, the VGA cable to the projector. if you place the projector out of the way with the VGA cable ready for use - sorry mate, we'll make you dance, we don't like it when people use non-Mac products with our gloriouous Macs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A must have adapter Not much to say about an adapter, but you can't go without it if you want to hook up to an external monitor. You can also go for the HDMI adapter if your external screen/monitor allows it. Only gave it a 3 star due to the value-for-money issue...a bit pricey for what you get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from just plain works This worked perfectly to connect a new MacBook Pro to a Samsung LCD monitor. We had tried a generic adaptor from another vendor, bit it was constantly flaking out and losing signal to the display. This was a little pricier, but it had the distinct advantage of Just Working.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not So Great I bought this adapter so that I could connect my laptop to my external monitor. This brought is great if you are only using it for browsing the internet or checking emails. I would not recommend this product for retouching for you can see signal waves on the screen.
