JVC VR-N900U overview

  • 1Description

The JVC Network Video Recorder (1.25 TB) is a hybrid digital recorder with 9 video inputs - 4 analog and 5 IP and is suitable for using as a stand-alone system or an edge device for an Xprotect Enterprise network solution. It is suitable for creating / updating an existing surveillance system for digital networks (IP), whether using analog, digital, or a combination of both.

The NVR can record footage in both the Quad-VGA Motion JPEG and the VGA MPEG-4 video formats and offers a 120 ips (VGA) recording rate to deliver neutral images without any flicker.

You can simultaneously view recorded and live images (maximum 64 cameras/1 server). The quick search option lets you search through large amounts of surveillance data by time, date (or timeline), or an alarm event. A single-box design ensures front-face access to all essential controls; the automatic IP camera addressing mode reduces installation time.

Hybrid Recording Solution
With the built-in 4-channel encoder unit, both analog and IP cameras can be connected without any additional investment. This IP-analog integration allows you to dramatically upgrade to a newer IP surveillance system while keeping existing analog equipment.
Camera Compatibility and Video Inputs
Compatible with analog and IP cameras, and has 9 video inputs - 4 analog video inputs and 5 IP inputs.
XProtect Enterprise Software
A comprehensive IP software ideal for large installations, as it can handle an unlimited number of cameras, multiple servers, and multiple surveillance locations. It enables integrating with other database systems and multi-thread 32 bit programming technology makes for consistent operation
Built-in 1.25 TB HDD
Ample storage for storing video footage till the next backup.
Motion JPEG/MPEG-4 Recording
Supports both Quad-VGA Motion JPEG and VGA MPEG-4 recording for compatibility with most CCTV cameras. While Motion JPEG images are suitable where high quality is important (such as when surveillance footage is required for legal / forensic evidence), MPEG-4 file compression enables seamless transmission over a network.
A maximum 120 ips (VGA) recording rate ensures that the video is clear and detailed even while capturing fast-moving images and offers a display frame-rate up to 60 ips (VGA) and a distribution frame-rate up to 30 ips (VGA).
Built-in Motion Detection
Continuously compares the current viewing frame with a pre-selected reference frame to trigger an alarm on the network if motion is detected in the viewing frame.
Quick Search Option
Search through a large amount of surveillance data by time, date (or timeline), and alarm to find the required footage.
Single-box Design
Provides access to all the essential controls on the front face itself; VCR/DVR-like operations with front panel controls include Jog/Shuttle and VGA monitor output
Automatic IP Camera Detection
IP camera discovery protocol helps you to quickly setup the NVR with multiple cameras on the network.
Weekly Scheduling
Preplan your surveillance schedule a week in advance.
Remote Administrative Function & NAS Archiving (4.0 Update Required)
Open Platform Design
Ensures hassle-free integration with third-party devices.
Built-in Serial Interface
Connectivity with a USB storage device, a dedicated UPS, or an external HDD.
Direct Export to External DVD-R/RW Drive (4.0 Update Required)
