Built into the camera is a 15' night vision illumination system, a feature that you will find particularly useful when you need to monitor a child sleeping in a darkened room. You'll also appreciate the built-in microphone, which by picking up sound in the monitoring area will give you a better sense of an occurrence.
The handheld monitor delivers crisp video images on its 2.4" color LCD screen, and operates on the included rechargeable battery. For a complete portable solution, you can also power the camera with an optional 9-volt battery. There are also standard A/V outputs on the monitor for viewing images on a standard TV or for recording to a DVR/VCR.
For expansion purposes you can acquire 4 additional wireless cameras and use the handheld monitor to switch between camera views.
