    Alesis MicLink Reviews

MicLink - XLR to USB Cable is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound, just as you'd expect Bought for recording some voiceovers and podcasting using my existing Audio Technica 813 microphone. Works great, plugs straight into Win7 and autoconfigures. Used it with Audacity to record a few samples which came out perfect and provides a much less expensive alternative to buying a newer microphone for now. Highly recommend it. Only con is that the connector seems like it might get some wear with moderate to heavy use, so if you're using this on the road you may want to take that into consideration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happily surprised that it works so good. I was skeptical at first that it would work with our setup, as the way we use it is not listed in their instructions. Although, meant for a Microphone, I needed an XLR to USB interface solution that would work from an Audio Mixers's XLR output to our computer's USB input. Also, as most audio mixers only have two XLR outputs (Left & Right), our particular brand also has One integrated Left/Right output which is perfect for this unit. Once plugged in, the computer instantly recognized the built-in driver and when I opened up my Audio/Video Mixer, it automatically showed up as an extra input choice. No hassles, no worries and the sound is great! After trying several of the competition's unsuccessfully, I'll be buying this item for all our Video Livestreaming set-ups for now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect ! This is exactly what I needed. I am making educational videos for my classroom. They were very hollow sounding. This allows me to record directly on my computer and the sound is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound & Easy to Use Easy to use. I use this for voice-overs connected to a Sony ECM44B lapel mic. The sound is great. Use with a lapel mic eliminates the hollow sound & popping p's with other USB mics. Reasonable price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product This easy to use xlr to usb converter was a genius invention. The design looks very professional and is the perfect travel-size. The only problem is that most computers will have trouble finding the driver, but once you do it will be one of the most helpful tools you have ever used.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works, but Noisy If you're looking just to get audio into a computer, and don't really care about the quality, this will definitely work for you. Very affordable and easy to use. Quite noisy, however. Not suitable for critical applications.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Noisy It may just be the one I received (from the used dept at BH) but it was a very noisy cable. It introduced a fair bit of ground hum into my audio. That said, it did convert the signal from XLR to USB.
