The PRO-D-D11 ProLine 11 from Prompter People is a complete teleprompting package designed to work with any combination of small mini DV or HD camera and tripod. Simply place the included riser on your tripod then mount your camera and ProLine system's teleprompting monitor & mirror and you're ready to start prompting.

The system uses an 11" color LCD display with VGA and composite video inputs. The entire setup sits atop the included tripod riser. The mirror assembly is constructed of lightweight aluminum extrusions and folds flat for easy transport. Setting up or breaking this system down requires no tools, making it particularly well suited for field work or frequent set changes. The beamsplitter in the assembly is constructed of ultra-pure low-iron glass with an anti-reflective coating that helps eliminates color shifts and light loss.

This package also includes several software applications that enhance its performance. Flip-Q Pro is a full-featured prompting application that allows you to manage prompting scripts with most PC or Mac computers that feature dual-monitor output. PowerFlip is an application that allows you to convert Microsoft PowerPoint presentation into prompting scripts. For full details and specifications for each of these applications, please visit the links to their product pages found in the "Item Includes" tab.

    PRO-D-D11 ProLine 11 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice unit in need of some improvement I've used this teleprompter for a few years at least now and I like it a lot, however the monitor it comes with is way too small making it unusable for any distance beyond about 12 feet. The text displayed on the stock screen doesn't take advantage of nearly enough mirror area, leaving a lot of it wasted. I picked up a 13 monitor, mounted it on, and relocated the mount more forward to compensate for the extra weight, and it's just about perfect. The bracket included offers 2 different camera placement heights and if you remove it, you have a 3rd height for larger, heavier camera placement. I find the bracket mount to be a little flimsy and wobbly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product and excellent support While the instructions for this teleprompter were somewhat lacking, the easy access to technical support via phone made up for it. Superbly packaged and wrapped to avoid damage, our prompter arrived quickly. The prompter is basically pre-assembled and packaged in its own softsided case. The software comes on a USB drive and can't be copied to your PC. I called up Prompter People and had help on the line within a few seconds. No calling ques, no waits, and an English speaking technician (it might have been the sales manager) that knew the product and took care of me immediately. They sent me a link to download a PC version of the software. My setup consists of a Panasonic HPX250 camera and a Vinten Blue Tripod. The instructions say to use the upper rail for mounting a heavy camera and the lower rail for mounting a light camera. At 7 lbs, I thought my camera was fairly heavy, but that's not what Prompter people think. I called Prompter people, had Chuck back on the phone within about 10 seconds, and he took me through it. No problem, mounting on the lower rail makes it much easier to attach the prompter to the tripod. The tripod is supposed to come with an auto-mirroring monitor. However, when I installed everything, the monitor worked normally, which means everything in the prompter mirror was reversed. After a few frustrating moments, I found myself on the phone again and was directed to installation guides on the website. The monitor that comes with the DPro 11 prompter package is supposed to be auto-reversing. I'm not sure what auto refers to, and I had a bit of a cursing fit trying to figure it out. Eventually, I used the Horizontal Flip function available through the monitor's MENU button and the problem was solved. I'm not sure if that's what was originally intended, or if the monitor should have been sent with that feature enabled, or if there's a different monitor in my package than what was originally shown in the instructions. Anyhow, I am up and running and extremely happy with my purchase and the level of support I received from Teleprompter People. You might pay a little more, but you definitely get what you pay for.
