  • 1Description

With one glance at its ultra-slim design, huge 3.5" LCD, and impressive feature set, you'll know that the Sony DSC-G3 Cyber-Shot is not just another garden-variety digital camera.

This ultra-portable high-performance imaging machine combines the imaging performance of an impressive 10MP CCD with an incredible 4GB of internal memory. It's small enough to slip into just about any pocket; you can take it everywhere you go.

The DSC-G3 Cyber-shot comes with a comprehensive selection of tools and features needed to produce impressive high-quality images; some of which are built into the camera - you can fix, resize, and proudly share them almost instantly via the built-in Wi-Fi and an intuitive Easy Upload Home Page.

10.1MP Super HAD CCD w/BIONZ Processor
The Super HAD (Hole Accumulated Diode) CCD increases sensitivity and reduces noise by allowing more light to pass to each pixel. The BIONZ processor delivers fast performance and high-resolution imaging
Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x Zoom Lens
Carl Zeiss' world renowned optical quality ensures well-defined high-constrast images. This 6.18-24.7mm (35-140mm equivalent in 35mm format) 3x zoom lens is designed for moderate wide-angle to long-telephoto imaging. Semi-manual and/or manual focusing ensures a sharp focus at all times
3.5" Xtra Fine LCD
Reveals exquisite image detail by providing up to five times the resolution (921k) of typical digital camera screens. This large screen allows sharing photos on-site, access to camera functions and the function guide display with its simple on-screen camera setup instructions
Face Detection
Detects up to eight faces; controls flash, focus, exposure, and white balance for accurate, natural skin tones and reduced red-eye. Prioritizes the camera's focus to distinguish between children and adults
Image Stabilization
Optical SteadyShot stabilization minimizes blur and allows flash-free shooting when it's not permitted or inappropriate. A high ISO sensitivity (ISO 1000) permits faster shutter speeds for low-light situations, or freezing action
Wi-Fi Connectivity
Wireless internet connection via 802.11b/g: upload images directly from camera to popular sharing sites
Burst Mode
Up to 100 shots @ 0.62 second intervals at all resolution settings

    Sony DSC-G3 Reviews

    DSC-G3 Cyber-shot Digital Camera is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Camera in good light Bought this camera for my wife to replace her aging Sony DSC-N1 which had very a good functionality except the autofocus system is very slow. The dsc-g3 blew away my expectations for the autofocus. Quick and precise. Good lighting produced some gorgeous pictures. Wifi was easy to setup and worked great. Now the bad news, very poor in low light. The older Sony dsc-n1 produced far superior low light shots. The noise in the older camera was minimal, the Sony dsc-g3 produced a lot of noise. This is with the noise reduction on. Flash is only good to about 5 feet. I ended up returning the camera and giving my wife my Canon SD900, which produces more consistent results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! I am not a tech whiz... This camera is awsome, nothing like taking pictures and downloading them to shutterfly and picking them up on the way home. It is a nice camera that fits in your pocket or in your purse very nicely.
