Roland VB99 overview

  • 1Description

The Roland VB-99 is the result of 10 years of work to build the ultimate tool for the musician who wants to play bass guitar without sonic barriers. By utilizing powerful COSM effects modeling, the VB-99 enables you to choose the sound of several vintage and modern bass guitars, amplifiers, and bass synths; and to create electric guitar sounds too. You also have the ability to layer two sounds together. This means that previously impossible tasks like playing a bass synth and a lead electric guitar simultaneously, are now easily accomplished.

With the addition of a Roland GK3B pick-up, the VB-99 allows you to convert your bass guitar notes to MIDI in real time. This opens up an unlimited range of sonic possibilities for bassists. It enables you to trigger the plethora of available virtual software instruments with your bass guitar. It also allows you to change the tuning of the bass. Being able to jump around multiple alternate tunings in an instant has untold creative potential (especially when utilizing the optional FC-300 Foot Controller). The COSM processing combined with the GK3B will enable you to play the upright bass modeled sound in the VP-99.

So if you're seeking more ways to express yourself with four strings, the VP-99 will deliver. From controlling effects with its D Beam, to playing a grand piano solo on your fret board, a flood of creative options awaits you.
