DataVac Pro: The Next Generation MDV-1BAC Computer Cleaning System is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Money well spent. I recently purchased the DataVac Pro to clean out computers for a small repair business. I was fed up with buying cans of air and bought a small air compressor. I was unhappy with the way I was constantly dealing with the dust flying all over the place and getting crammed in small areas on the insides of the computers. I have always been afraid of using a vacuum in PC's due to ESD's(Electro Static Discharges), I have used this several times already and I am quite pleased with the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for cleaning appliances and PCs DataVac Pro does the job very well. Blower and vacuum are operating at the same time, so you can manipulate it the way you want for cleaning. The cleaning system has plenty of extensions for comfort and precise cleaning of electronics. Blower is a little too weak, but you can enforce the airflow by putting some of extensions included in the box, which will increase the outlet pressure by quite a bit. The capsule frame gets a bit hot but not too much at all. I cleaned my full-tower PC and after I still could easily hold it with my bare hands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from satisfied A very basic Vac. I use it for quick clean ups in my home office. I haven't used all the attachments but they seem useful. Small enough to store on a shelf so it is readily available. Only good for small cleaning jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful Ideal for cleaning dust, dog hairs, etc from keyboard and other typical computer dust. A bit large for the tasks but plenty of suction. Very pleased with product. Every accessory that you would need is included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Suck Don't Blow This powerful small vacuum really sucks! But that's what you want, right? To be fair it does both. I bought My Metro DataVac for both my computer equipment and my camera equipment. It comes with plenty of attachments, including good ones for small detailed work, so you don't need to buy anything else right away. My only complaint is that the hose is a little too short and rigid for setting the vac down and working around a piece of equipment with both hands. You can get a longer hose, but it's too pricey in my opinion. Or if you're reasonably skilled you can buy a length of inexpensive more flexible 1.25 Bilge Pump hose from a good plumbing supplier or marine parts supplier, remove the original short hose from the end fittings and make your own custom length hose that's more flexible, which is what I did instead of buying the expensive accessory hose. All you need is a utility knife and a bit of adhesive like Goop to glue the fittings back on to the new hose, though they fit tightly by friction alone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value! I've only used it a few times, but I'm pleased with the performance so far. I love that it is made in the USA and has an all metal casing. I bought it to replace expensive canned air, and it works as promised. The only issue for me is the hose. I do field service work, and I have to remove the hose when I pack the vac for transport...I wish it came with a cap to keep the dirt in when the hose is off...I'll just have to find the right size plastic plug.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice! What a great product. If you think about it, the average can of air for cleaning a PC is 5$, so after 12 uses, this unit has payed for itself! No more nasty chemicals, no more accidental spraying of fluid if you tip your canned air to far, no more waiting for your canned air to warm up to regain pressure, and most importantly, no more solid waste!!! This unit is excellent for cleaning electronics safely, without worry of transfering static charge, potentially damaging sensitive equipment, specifically internal PC components. The only issue with this unit, is that it heats up over extended use. As a PC tech, you would know what areas are vital to proper PC operation, and attack them as priority if you are under time constraint. So make sure you take breaks, or risk overheating the motor. Also MAKE SURE ATTACHMENTS ARE SECURE! If not, they can propel off of the unit, making you look unprofessional, and possibly damaging customer goods.(No i personally have not had a piece rocket off, but read they can) Use common sense and check attachments are secure before use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing really sucks! Tiny, yet incredibly powerful. Sucks and blows with the best. Extremely compact design. Fine selection of attachments. Best computer vac I've seen in 30+ years of IT work. Most impressive!
