Honl Photo HONL-SNOOT8 Overview

The HonlPhoto 8" Speed Snoot/Reflector is part of the Honl Speed System, which allows you to add a line of different light modifiers to your flash unit. This 8" long Speed Snoot/Reflector attaches to the Speed Strap (offered separately), and can be used either as a snoot or a reflector.

Used as a reflector, this flash accessory can be used to bounce and scatter the light output of a flash unit, to provide a more pleasing and even exposure. Shaped as a snoot, it will concentrate the light output from the flash into a much tighter beam, producing a dramatic cinematic lighting effect.

U have worked with the Rogue snoot/reflector and i was expecting the same quality. No such thing. It is not easily adjustable and does not fit my sb-700. Even with a Rogue band which I have with would not stay in place. Very disappointed in this buy. Tjere should have more info in the description.

Just bought and used this item for a photoshoot. Worked excellent! No harsh hot spots from the flash on what I was photographing. I recommend this product.

I've had the 8 Speed Snoot/ Reflector for a couple of years now and it has a permanent place in my camera bag. Does it diffuse light better than a 30 x 60 soft-box? No. Does it approximate that on-location when all you have is your camera and a flash? Oh yea. The speed snoot/reflector is a top quality light modifier that will vastly improve the quality of your work

question

I just received this item and had planned to use it as a reflector, however there is only Velcro on the back and one side. How can this be attached to the Honl flash strap as shown in their advertising picture?

You shouldn't need the Honl strap. The lower part of the reflector has its own Velcro strap which stretches and wraps around the head of your speed light. That's the Velcro that you're talking about that you say is on the back and one side.
