Pro SLR Storm Jacket Camera Cover, Medium (Camo) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 150.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well if properly sized If you buy the correct size it works well, if it's too big it's really fiddly to get to your eyepiece, too small and obviously it doesn't cover the camera properly, on the storm cover website it says that it's ok if the cover is bigger as it just bunches up, sounds good in theory but doesn't really work that way. the velcro bottom that opens up to allow for a tripod or manual focusing is good but for focusing it should just be an elastic opening or something as it's tricky to get the velcro open while holding your camera. so yes it works, still not perfect but definetly better than nothing, having said that, i wouldn't say it's good value for money pretty expensive for a little piece of material with two elastic straps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Designed!!! I bought this storm jacket in hopes that I chose the right size to fit my Canon EOS 5D Mark II with my Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II lens attached including the lens hood. This jacket fits perfect with room to spare! The Velcro opening at the bottom is perfect for holding my lens while allowing for zoom adjustments. The front of the jacket fits snug over my lens hood with very little slippage while the opening in the back of the jacket allows access to fully control my camera without even tightening the draw string and still protecting my camera from the elements. This is a very well designed product and worth every penny, a must have!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needed this for an Alaska trip Was hesitant at first to buy this for a 70 to 200 because it might be too big. Then I did some research and bought it. It is pretty big but then again it covers the body's and ball head if needed quite well. Installation was pretty easy. Covers the lens and body well. Only thing I wish it had was a strap of some sort in the middle to make it a little more snug so that a puff of wind will not inflate it. Also wished it had some rubberized material on the lens end so it would be more snug than just a drawstring. Of course B&H shipping etc. Was outstanding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and handy Simple tapered-shape vinyl tube with bungee ties at either end, and a Velcro hole in the bottom for a tripod. Lightweight and waterproof. I used this on my canon 5D with my 70-200 f2.8 and it works just fine. It's not fancy but then again there's nothing to fiddle with. It kept the water off the camera. I would have liked the front lens end seal to be tighter; the bungee isn't as slip-resistant as I would have liked and I suppose some water could get in that way. Also the back end simply hangs open and guards the rain unless you're leaning the camera slightly forward and accessing the controls. I also own one of the fancy models that covers the entire camera that was $$, but this is much easier to use in lighter/medium rain and I would prefer this unless it's really a heavy downpour. If it got really windy and rainy and I wanted the back and front sealed more, then I'd use my larger, clunky expensive rain guard instead of this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned it This would probably work for keeping a camera dry in the rain if you weren't planning to actually use the camera. The bungee on the front kept slipping off the end of the lens or not extending with the lens. It is made from a very slippery nylon that made it very awkward to try to use in a no wind no rain environment. As a result, I returned it and will keep looking for a product that is easier to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked Terrific I recently purchased this product to use on a photo vaction to Ireland. I went in January, so knew things would be wet. I used the Storm Jacket cover the majority of my time there, and was very pleased. It was extremely successful in keeping my equipment dry, as was easy to use and put on the camera. It worked with a variety of lenses. Cons: You've obviously got to deal with cover in order to access your controls, and when using a shorter lens, the cover can bunch forward and creep into your shoot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for tripod use, not handheld My main purpose was to use it in a very dusty desert environment. I ended up just taking off the cover after an hour because it was so cumbersome to use handheld. I imagine it would be better suited to use in a slower paced shooting scenario like landscape photography with a tripod. I tried using this at the Burning Man festival this year while there were white out dust storms. The lens end just kept rolling back, not really good to use with a lens hood. I'll be using it again but on landscape photography trips, not when I have to shoot on the fly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheap Insurance I bought the Storm Jacket to protect my Canon 5D Mark 2 and long lenses on a trip to British Columbia and Alaska. Even though the 5D is pretty weatherproof some of the lenses are not and southern Alaska is mostly a temperate rainforest so I expected lots of rain. I only had to use the Storm Jacket once but it did the job. It takes up very little space in a camera bag and once you figure out how to put it on quickly it works as advertised. Be sure to buy the pro version with the velcro opening on the bottom. It makes manipulating zoom lenses much easier.
