It has a 15 x 15" (38 x 38cm) front face, and its depth is sufficient to provide real softening of the flash. It assembles easily in minutes and accepts most hot-shoe flashes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME tool This product replaces another brand of mini-soft box that I've been using for over a year. I shoot weddings almost every weekend, and grew tired of the first soft-box's inability to fold up for portability. SO, the lastolite seemed to be the easy choice...and it is GREAT! A bit on the pricey side, but the portability and awesome light it makes...totally worth it. I can now easily travel for weddings...into cars, hotel rooms, back of churches, etc...without fuss of having a softbox which doesn't fold down. I also found out that I like the hot shoe mount's construction much better than my old brand's mount. Far more secure at holding my 580 EXII.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Single Stobe Light Modifier At the start, I did purchase this from B&H Photo, but didn't write my review until I had lots of time in the saddle with this item. With the advent of Canon's wireless strobe system (600EX/ST-E3) which is easily the best one out there, one would be a fool not to own a product like this. These work so well in the field, I've nearly given up carrying heavy lighting except for very large subjects, or in extremely bright conditions where I'd need the extra output! In most other situations, this product is just a joy to use! After some time with it, I fiqured out the quickest way to work with the product, either solo, or with an assistant. I've modified the Ezybox bracket by attaching a Manfrotto QR plate, and a Quantum Dead Shoe to speed up attachments, and performance. Weather solo with a light stand, or an assistant using a monopod, it works beautifully for both. See the attached photo for the setup! Highly recommended product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Portable Softbox I bought this softbox as a more compact alternative to my 38 softliter umbrella, and for some more directional light. It is also a far more manageable size compared to a big umbrella which allows me to work in tighter areas. The light it produces is gorgeous! It has a real softness to it and it makes my brides look stunning! I love how the softbox folds up and can be packed away in the accompanying lastolite storage bag. Setup is really quick - I choose to leave the diffusion panel attached (2 of the 4 sides) when I collapse it down, making it even faster to pull out. I was a bit worried when I first purchased it as to the way the speedring attaches to the softbox itself (tension-held) but I have used it in strong winds and it didn't cause any problems. I find this product great for close headshots and 1-2 person 3/4 shots. For larger groups I change-over to a shoot-through umbrella. I will be bringing this product to me for every wedding I shoot in the future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EZYBOX is Easy Inded This is the third small softbox I've purchased and by far the best. It's of the highest quality in materials, and is incredibly easy to use. It comes in a small, circular, pancake flat case just like the trigrip diffusor/reflectors of Lastolite. The bracket that comes with it is very easy to install and acts as a hot/cold shoe for my SB900 flash. The only thing it's missing is the ability to tilt. The price is high, but you get what you pay for in this case. I'm going to get the 24x24 next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft light from your tilt-head flash, While a formal soft box is great for stills, I shoot dogs... that move. This box on a handle (optional) gives me great flexible lighting. The 15x15 size is about the right size for my subjects, but the larger box might better suit a larger subject. At arm's reach, the box gets a little heavy for extended posing, but with a C stand, it's perfect. Only area of operating concern is to keep the flash command window unblocked by box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clever and innovative This is a very clever and innovative that sets up and breaks down quite easily. Transporting it is no more cumbersome than transporting a large circular reflector. The light spread is much more contained than with an umbrella and it is much easier to use than an umbrella in a tight space with normal ceiling heights, meaning that it's good for location work. I have no difficulty using it for 3/4 length portrait shots at f5.6 at 100 ISO with a Nikon SB600 at full power. I find the small size and light weight also make it practical to mount on a a small boomstand either for portraiture or table-top photography. The quality of the light is nice. It is pricey however, and for the money, I think that they could have provided a more rugged metal flash bracket instead of the plastic one. In normal usage, the supplied bracket should be okay, but photographic equipment does get bashed around sometimes, especially on location whenre you don't always have complete control of every yahoo that bumps into your equipment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't use it w/ Pocket Wizards At least, not w/ my TT5 for Nikon Speedlights. The hotshoe holder thing is about a 1/2 inch too short to put the TT5 on it. It does look very durable & easily portable, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and Easy to set up This is a great little softbox, especially suited to location and event work because of its compact size. It is large enough to provide some useful softening to a hotshoe type flash without being clumsy to work with outside a studio. Using an iTTL/ETTL type speedlight off camera is fantastic with this light modifier, as it provides portability and control and interesting lighting setups. Great for the Strobist.
