    Ultimate Support JS-MPS1 reviews

    JS-MPS1 Multi-Purpose Mixer/Keyboard Stand is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Advertised dimensions are incorrect! I ordered the JS-MPS1 specifically for the reason that the advertised dimensions state minimum height of 21.7 and maximum width of 47.2. Both of these are wrong! The minimum height is actually about 25 and the max width is about 46. I specifically wanted the low height so that my son's keyboard would be at the appropriate height (same as a Piano). The amazing thing is that these incorrect dimensions are mentioned in many places including the box as well as the manufacturer's website. Apparently this error made it past the product marketing people at Ultimate Support, but they really need to correct it. I ended up using a hacksaw to cut off the legs so I can use the stand. Problem is now, I can not ever go any higher since I had to cut off the part of the legs where the thumb screws are. Other than the height (and width) discrepancies it is a good stand. It is quite sturdy despite the fact that it is light weight and quite inexpensive.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's ok. You get what you pay for. Sturdy, yes. Rock solid? No. That could make a difference if you are looking to put some serious weight on it. Two of the legs on this unit were jammed up inside the height adjustment sleeve leg and I cannot get it out. Luckily it is at the height I need it to be. I however cannot adjust since I cannot get the legs out. To bad they cheated out in this area and did not think this thru. Simple fix in manufacturing but oh well. Another disposable product that makes you feel terrible for supporting cheap stuff. This was for a simple setup so I did not need anything like quiklok but in the end i should have spent the extra money since I cannot even sell this later if i wanted to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is what I want!!!! This item, unlike other X-shape stands, lets you be able to put your leg under your keyboard or other stuff. This is important to me as a composer and music producer. I put the stand in front of my desk with my 76 key keyboard so I can have my laptop and keyboard in the same direction instead of keep turning 90 degrees to the side to play when I am editing music. I had an X-shape stand before and it blocks my legs from under the table. This stand makes a lot of sense to me....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good stand with some manufacturing problems Use. I use it for a keyboard and adjust the legs for standing. I made an insert of plywood to support the feet of the keyboard. You will probably need to make either an insert or a top of the size you need for your application. The stand looks good and works well once you fix the problems described below. Recommendation. I would recommend it to a friend who is good with tools, but not to someone who expects it to be useful as received. Problems: 1. Leg adjustment knobs. Some of the leg adjustment knobs would not tighten properly. The nuts welded to the upper leg tubes do not align with the holes in the tube. The edge of the hole in the tube must be cleared with a 6x1 mm tap before the adjustment screw can be screwed in far enough to properly engage the indent in the lower leg section. 2. These same welded nuts are positioned so the adjustment knobs end up at somewhat random angles. Must are tilted slightly outward, but one turns so far inward that the knob interferes with the platform tube when you try to fold the stand. 3. The platform length adjustment tubes are held in place at the fixed end with 4x0.7 mm machine screws that are made of a very soft alloy. The screws did not survive the manufacturing, packaging, and shipping stresses. The screw threads were partially stripped, and the screws had fallen partially out. They would not tighten. I replaced them with plated steel screws. Notes 1. Leg length adjustment indentations are every 4 cm (1.6). If your floor is uneven the feet can be screwed out for precise adjustment up to about 1.5 cm (0.6) 2.Collapsing the stand for transportation. a. Adjust the leg extensions for minimum length, and partially tighten adjustment knobs. b. Adjust the platform width to minimum, but do not tighten the adjustment knobs. They need to be free to turn out of the way of the legs. c. Fold in the legs attached to the long platform section. d. Fold in the legs attached to the short platform section

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Medium duty compact folding stand I purchased it as an lighter alternative to QuickLok WS-550. Both stand on four legs like a table as opposed to more common X style stands. This type of stand allows for storing luggage under it which is handy for DJ / band gigs. This folds up much smaller and is lighter compared to the WS-550 which makes it great for travel. I place a vinyl DJ set up on it by placing a wooden board on it and it's holding up. The depth of it is exactly the one of 1200 style turntables. I have not attempted to place a flight case style DJ coffin which looks a bit heavy for this. The key issue I find here is height adjustment. There are thumb screws that hold shafts that extend out. The screws go into dimples on the shaft which seems a bit unreliable when placing a heavy set up like mine. The dimples are also hard to align with screws. This is where WS-550 wins as it uses spring loaded buttons to lock its legs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mixer/Keyboard Stand I would be using this for my Presonus 1602 mixer in a case, it is a comfortable fit. The width and hight can be adjusted so I could make room for my wireless microphone and DBX drive rack! There is not a stopper to prevent the legs from falling out when you are adjusting them, but it seem very sturdy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I Needed! I needed a compact keyboard stand for my studio. One that could be length-adjusted to be exactly as long as my keyboard and could be height-adjusted for my personal playing preference. I was surprised to find a stand so perfect for my needs at such a great price. It's lightweight, but sturdy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really Strong I use it with my Axiom pro 61 midi controller and I am really happy with it. At first I had doubts about because it looks weak but is totally the opposite its really resistant. And also you can adjust the height! Rally nice for the price
