The PocketWizard MiniTT1 Radio Slave Transmitter utilizes PocketWizard's new ControlTL firmware platform, is part of an ultra-versatile radio slave system, and is dedicated specifically to the Canon E-TTL II flash control system. It simply slides directly into the camera's hot shoe. There are no special settings to make or modes to call up. Use the camera, on-camera flash, or flash commander controls for flash compensation, zone and ratio control. It supports single or multiple dedicated flash units. The MiniTT1 is the ideal addition to any Canon E-TTL II flash system. It works in combination with the FlexTT5 Transceiver, and since this system works on digital radio technology, it can support E-TTL around corners, out-of-sight, or in bright sunlight.

Can I use PocketWizard MiniTT1 Radio Slave ...
Can I use PocketWizard MiniTT1 Radio Slave Transmitter on Canon SL3 hot shoe?
The SL3 has not been tested for TTL compatibility with the MiniTT1. It should work in Basic Trigger mode, as a manual trigger, up to X-sync.

question
if i want to use this to trigger a canon 5d in combination with another pocketwizard, do I need some kind of cable to the camera?
The MiniTT1 can be used as the handheld trigger, you would need the CM-N3-ACC to connect to the receiving PocketWizard. By pressing the Test button on the MiniTT1, you can trigger the remote camera via the receiving PocketWizard and cable.

question
Are these compatible with the Canon 80D?
With the newer Canon cameras, including the 80D, you will need to use a FlexTT6 as the transmitter for TTL. The FlexTT6 is compatible with all other PocketWizards, you can use a FlexTT5 or FlexTT6 as a receiver for your flash.
The MiniTT1 can be used with the 80D but only in Basic Trigger mode, for manual control up to X-sync.

question
Can I use the Mini TT1 to high speed sync with an Alien Bee set up using Plus X's?
I use the TT1 and Plus X to trigger my X series White Lightnings Jacob. I'm primarily using the TT1 because of the low profile design and running everything manually so I haven't experimented with any high speed syncs. As a trigger the Pocket Wizzard products work great. I know the TT1 will allow custom function adjustments with a flash that is dedicated to it (Canon, Nikon...) To the best of my knowledge these function adjustments will not be options when using Alien Bees, I think the Einsteins can be adapted to allow this though.Good luck :-)

question
Has anyone used this with a Canon 1Ds3 and Profoto Acute2 or Profoto monolights? I'd like to utilize HSS in manual modes but would like to hear about others experience.
The PocketWizard MiniTT1 Radio Slave Transmitter for Canon E-TTL & E-TTL II Systems would only provide High Speed Sync (HSS) capabilities when used with Canon speedlite hot shoe flashes that uses Canon's E-TTL II automatic flash exposure system. While the PocketWizard MiniTT1 can be used as a transmitter to tirgger Profoto Acute2 power packs with the PocketWizard receiver built inside, or with other Profoto monolights/power packs that have PocketWizard receivers built inside, it will not provide TTL or HSS compatibility with Profoto equipment.

question
Will this work with my Sony a7 along with just studio flashes no hot shoe flash at all
Yes this would work on a Sony A7 camera as a transmitter as long as their is a Pocket Wizard Transceiver attached to your strobes as a receiver.

question
If i get the MiniTT1 and a PlusX unit, would it be hyper sync compatible? I have a Nikon SB28 flash.
As far as I know, it would not be hyper sync compatible because you would need the TT5 unit to receive the signal that makes the whole TTL function with the Transmitter & the Transceiver work! Also, I am not sure if your flash unit is compatible with these devices either! ... BUT, I would call someone at B&H Photo & talk with a sales person there that would know about all the functioning specifics of these units & your flash unit. ... From what I have read about the PlusX unit, it would receive the triggering signal & fire as a trigger only type of function. So ask someone at the store about your specific needs with the gear that you have to get exactly what you are wanting!

question
Can i adjust flash power with this unit?
No, the flash can not be adjusted with the transmitter. You can ad the AC3 Zone Controller to control the flash output. Hope this helps.
