The PocketWizard FlexTT5 Transceiver Radio Slave is part of an ultra-versatile radio slave system, and is dedicated specifically to the Canon E-TTL II flash control system. It simply slides directly into the camera's hot shoe, and there are no special settings to make or modes to call up. Use the camera, on-camera flash, or flash commander controls for flash compensation, zone and ratio control. It supports single or multiple dedicated flash units.

Can I put the interfit s1 transmitter in the hot-shoe of the FlexTT5?
I have a Elinchrom EL-Skyport HS and it will not communicate with it on the pocket wizard FlexTT5they both do the same thing but the Skyport will not get the signal thought the hot shoe but the TT5 will fire just fine

If i use a pair of flextt5, one for the camera and the other for one monolight, but with 2 others slave monolights, they will work in highsync with only one flextt5 at the main monolight?
I believe that would be up to the slave function of your monolights, as opposed to the actual TT5. The TT5 will certainly trigger your master, so as long as the slaves obey the master, there should be no problem. More TT5 units would provide better reliability and control, as you can group the lights and control the groups separately.I recommend the MiniTT1 on the camera as opposed to the TT5. It's smaller, lighter, cheaper, and effective.

Is this compatible with the Canon 5D Mark IV?
I use the 5DSR but I am sure that it can work since all the Canon 5D cameras use the same hot shoe contacts, update the firmware, and to be sure ask the guys from Pocket wizard

I currently use a pair of PW PlusX to sync my Canon 1Ds3 to Profoto Acute2 and Profoto Compact monolight. I'd like to utilize higher sync speeds and do not need TTL, just manual settings. Do I need just one FlexTT5 to go with my PlusX or do I need a pair?
You will need the PW MiniTT1 or a FlexTT5 for the camera and two TT5's for your lights, once you setup the TT1 or TT5 (on camera) & TT5 on your lights you will be able to do the HSS. TTL works good & manual is just as good in the right settings. Hope this works for you.

It says the Flex TT5 unit does not work well with the canon 580 flash and the distance may be limited to around 30'. I was thinking of getting two of these units to start with.What is a better option that will still allow full use of the TTL capability?
I usually found that it was my mistake in turning them on in the sequence you have to follow for correct operation. These devices are not for an easy switch from natural light to strobe. Once they turn off you then have turn everything on is a specific sequence. Since I Love natural light and strobe it was a terrible experience. If you are a studio and only use strobe they are perfect

If i am looking at doing highspeed sync manual flash, using 2 flashes, is my assumption correct in that i need 2 flextt5 (one for each flash) and a tt1 transmitter for my camera? (5d3, canon flashes)

If I mount the MiniTT1 on my Canon 7D Mk II and mount my Canon 430 EX II on the FlexTT5, I assume I would be able to trigger the flash in E-TTL mode. If I want to manually control the flash output instead of using E-TTL, will I be able to control the flash output from the camera or will I have to adjust from the menu on the flash itself?
I cannot say for sure regarding the 430, I only have 580 + 600 flashes. Either way I have found the ac3 a much easier / faster way to control flash output as you don't have to scroll through any settings or menus.
