question
How do you attach the glass dome to the B1 head? Do you need to remove the frosted glass plate that comes with the strobe before attaching the dome?
Yes. But it wasn't easy the first time. I had to go to Samy's in LA. I have heard that you might want to use a 7' diffuser with it. What is your take on that? As you know the bulb is recessed and not extruded.

question
Will it work with B2 head?
Sort-of... It won't fit in the usual way as the cover glass on the B2 is not removable. However you can hold it in place in front of the B2 using the mounting ring of the OCF grid/gel holder. It's not the most secure mounting though - you'd need to be careful about bumping it off - or just add some gaffer tape to keep it in place. This solution does preclude use of the built-in umbrella holder on the B2.

question
Any idea how many stops this takes out of the head?
What you do is replace current glass with dome, and if I'm not mistaking it's same type of glass where same amount of stops lost. It does create better light, no hot spots creates better light
