    Pelican 1770 reviews

1770 Transport Case with Foam (Black) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Case OK design Im in video and use this case to transport my steadicam arm, sled and my Kessler pocket Dolly. The steadicam backpack is useless because once you put a plate on top of the sled you can no longer use it. So this is a great way to protect that expensive stabilization gear. There is a handle on the top and bottom however none in the middle. While it has wheels this means if you have to carry this - stairs etc - you are completely screwed. You have to hug it like a bear and hope for the best. For that reason no 5 stars but none the less a great product for its size

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow the 1770 is a stellar case! I remember it like it was yesterday.... It was a foggy Thursday morning. A package arrives at work. Warehouse manager tells me its a big one, and quite heavy. I don't quite recall what I had ordered previously. I open box, all other employees gander in amazement. The sleek, black casing resonated with mysterious awesomeness. Employees begin to salivate, their prying hands reaching for my Pelican 1770, like a pack of rabid hyenas. I roll out my 1770, making brisk maneuvers around that morning's shipment. Thing is heavy. Take break, drop case on floor. Hyena's taken aback by sudden loud and monstrous sound from case hitting the concrete floor. Whole warehouse shudders in fear. Was that the hand of God reminding us that we are in fact flecks of space dust collecting on his galactic holy Shelby cobra? No, it was my Pelican 1770. I begin to fill the case with highly sensitive material, fragile goods that would otherwise put our company into bankruptcy if anything were to be damaged. I feel no fear, full confidence is with me. The Pelican 1770 gives me courage, tells me its okay to pack expensive things in it. Grabs my shoulder, tells me its gonna be alright. I shed a few tears.... Never have I felt so secure with anything that I have ever shipped out, until this day... Pelican 1770 puts a hand on my shoulder and reassures me I'll never let you down friend, I know the feel. He begins to wipe away my tears, I retort by giving him the strongest bro hug any man/case relationship has ever experienced. Best case I have ever bought hands down. True story by the way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big and Heavy I have several Pelican products and they all are quality built, including this one. Along with others who have this case I share the preference that there be a side handle to assist with carrying this monster. That said, the end handles are fine for dragging the case around and the wheels are not really wheels, more like rollers, they are wider than standard wheels on large cases like this. The latches all are sturdy and lock securely, and the top and bottom match up perfectly. The case comes with one layer of pick and pluck foam and that rests on two layers of solid foam, with a layer of egg carton foam in the lid. Map out the outline of what you are going to put in this case and it will be held securly after you pull out the unneeded pieces. What can I say, I am a fan of these cases no matter that they weigh. Very good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Case for larger trasnportation needs! I would highly recommend this case for those needing a larger case - with length for long items. The foam inserts are easy to modify to fit your shipment in a secure/customized space. I used an electric knife (like you'd use to carve the turkey or ham) and cut an opening for my gear. It's secure, safe and ready for air transit, truck transit or just transporting in your car. Great solution for protecting your gear!! I'm heading to Africa - and am confident my gear will get there safe and sound!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect Typical tough Pelican construction, but no side handle. This makes it difficult for one person to load and unload from a vehicle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing security Used for (2) M4 w/ EoTech & (4) S&W M&P pistols going over to Afghanistan. Solid, secure, watertight and shockproof. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big, Heavy and Exactly What We Needed We are moving live-streaming equipment from place to place, but were moving it in canvas tote bags, subject to rain & heat & ramming against buildings or people in the subway. This case keeps this equipment safe, all together in one place, and easy to transport. Is it big? Sure, it's about 5 feet tall if you stand it on it's end. But with wheels on the bottom it becomes easily transportable.
