Nearly as versatile as a prime lens can be, the AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G from Nikon is a 52.5mm-equivalent lens for DX-format cameras, and is characterized by its sleek form factor, normal field of view, and bright f/1.8 maximum aperture. The fast design of the lens suits working in difficult lighting conditions and also enables improved control over depth of field for isolating subjects and working with selective focus techniques. The optical design incorporates one aspherical element, which helps to control distortion and spherical aberrations in order to produce notable sharpness and clarity. A Super Integrated Coating has also been applied to individual elements and controls lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy when working in bright and backlit conditions. Complementing the optics is a Silent Wave Motor, which enables fast, near-silent autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override, to benefit both stills and video recording.

Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Reviews
Review of 35mm lens
I've used the lens for a week and it is easy to use in either mode, auto or manual. I appreciate the larger f stop as it allows me to use the camera later in the evening.
Great lens, fast shipping
The price was great, and the shipping was fast! It was a certified refurb but looked pristine, like brand new. Checkout was easy and it showed up at my doorstep in just a few days. Couldn't be happier.
Love this lens
I have a Nikon D3500 and got this 35mm to get to the equivalence of thereabouts 50mm. Great lens, great the image quality and bokeh, plus build quality. If you're on a crop sensor, I'd recommend this lens for a 50mm-ish focal length.
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Lens
I'm a lifetime novice photographer. Purchased this lens mainly to shoot family gatherings around the house. Still getting accustomed to the lens on a new camera. So far, please with the lens.
Excellet Bokeh, a little stiff mounting and unmounting
I have a DX Nikon camera (D-7000) and purchased the FX 50mm 1.8 lens primarily for the bokeh possibilities and to see if it helped with getting a wider field of view for family gathering photos. I forgot to factor in the 1.5x crop factor for using an FX with a DX sensor so my 50mm is actually a 75mm on my camera. To experiment with a wider angle lens, I go the DX 35mm f/1.8G. It was exactly what I was looking for. I gave it four stars instead of 5 because it is a lot stiffer mounting and unmounting on my camera than any other lens (DX or FX) that I have. I use it sparingly because of that, because of the concern that it might be wearing on parts of my camera's lens mounting system.
Nikon 35mm f/1.8G Lens
I have used this lens a couple times since I got it, and find that it is a very good lens. It seems the sharpest around the f/11 aperture. I would definitely recommend it to other fellow photographers!
A workhorse of a lens
Someone else wrote a review where they said they couldn't believe they took so long to buy this lens, and I wholeheartedly agree. I purchased this 35mm f/1.8 for shooting with my Nikon D7100. (I originally purchased a 50mm lens forgetting about the crop factor and wanted that true 50mm look, so I purchased this lens.) I used it for a week while working at a children's grief/bereavement summer camp program. I shot a mix of action and portrait shots, both indoor and out. Beautiful bokeh. Great low-light performance. It's not the quickest to auto-focus (compared to my Nikkor 50mm), which was a slight disappointment, but wow-oh-wow I was amazed at the results overall. I anticipate this being my main go-to lens from this moment forward.
Muy buen lente, incluso para cmara full frame!
Compr este lente como medida de emergencia, por su precio y marca. Us una Nikon D750 full frame con este DX y el resultado es bastante bueno. No crea tanta vietas y la calidad de la imagen es muy buena. Recomendado!
