Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Lens
Key Features
  • F-Mount Lens/DX Format
  • 52.5mm (35mm Equivalent)
  • Aperture Range: f/1.8 to f/22
  • One Aspherical Element
Nearly as versatile as a prime lens can be, the AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G from Nikon is a 52.5mm-equivalent lens for DX-format cameras, and is characterized by its sleek form factor, normal field of view, and bright f/1.8 maximum aperture. The fast design of the lens suits working in difficult lighting conditions and also enables improved control over depth of field for isolating subjects and working with selective focus techniques. The optical design incorporates one aspherical element, which helps to control distortion and spherical aberrations in order to produce notable sharpness and clarity. A Super Integrated Coating has also been applied to individual elements and controls lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy when working in bright and backlit conditions. Complementing the optics is a Silent Wave Motor, which enables fast, near-silent autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override, to benefit both stills and video recording.

Hi,I bought my 35mm f1.8G DX last November 2013 during my vacation in LA. I was very happy with this lens until my latest shoot last January 2014. I noticed that my shots are always over exposed. When I took off and checked the lens, the aperture stays open (f1.8) most of the time and never closes by default even if I change the aperture settings (higher f number say f8) on my camera. Could this be fixed? Please help. Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that as It sounds as if the lens is defective. If you purchased the USA version of the lens it will have a 1 year International and 5 year USA warranty. Please contact Nikon directly to have them service the lens.

Nikon n75 compatible with nikon 35mm f/1.8g af-s dx
Asked by: Camilo
Yes, The Nikon N75, is electronically compatible with the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Lens. The camera will perform autofocus, and aperture adjustments with the G lens, but because the Nikkor 35mm lens is a DX version, the corners of the photo will vignette and go black.
