question

Does this lens come with an instruction manual or just a one page generic instruction sheet that covers all Canon lenses? ( my came with the one page generic sheet)
Asked by: Felix A.
The lens does not come with an instruction manual. Most manufacturers are only putting manuals onto their website to download instead of printing and shipping them with products.

For Portrait vs Landscape photos, do I need to use the Rotation function to 90 degrees (+- depending on left/right camera rotation)?
Asked by: Octavian
No, one does not adjust the mount rotation: +/- 90° on the Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L Tilt-Shift Lens based on shooting orientation. Rotation of the tilt-shift mechanism should be done based on what is needed for the specific composition. This is independent of camera orientation.

question

Is there anyone out there who has used it on the new Sony Ar7II with the metabones adapter? What is your experience? Sharpness, auto anything work?
Asked by: lia R.
Metabones works great, don't forget the Sigma MC-11 that does also a great job! With both adapters there is no vignetting, no loss of sharpness (only a tube, no glass element involved), the 17 TS-E is an all manual lens...no auto nothing.. ; ) I use the Sigma with an Sony A7R2 and that improved a lot the image quality I had from the Canon 5DMK3 files I use to have.. ; )
