6-Pin to 4-Pin FireWire Adapter is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unsuited to use for streaming audio I have no problems with the quality of this adapter. However, I have found it to be unsuited to the application for which I purchased it (connecting a firewire audio interface to my laptop). The 4-pin connection is too easily interrupted by small bumps to be usable. Instead, I found it effective to use a firewire PC expresscard with a six-pin connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good price, decent build quality Despite not being a fan of Hosa audio cables I'd say this connector is made fairly well for a lower priced adapter. It's of good construction quality for general home or office use but I wouldn't exert too much force on it (e.g. use it to edit video on a bus) as it's not indestructible. I purchased this item to connect my MiniDV cam to my laptop, both of which have a 4-pin jack. It works just fine for video capturing. In my instance I used this connector in conjunction with a Pearstone 4-pin to 6-pin cable (B&H SKU 688552) because I wanted the versatility to connect to both 4-pin and 6-pin Firewire cards. While this adapter was coupled with the cable I noticed lack of audio while capturing into Adobe Premiere and other video capturing applications. I believe this is due to limitations of my hardware but I'm not an expert. As always, check your equipment manuals for compatibility. Overall I certainly recommend this connector and would purchase it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I needed this product to upload and view old home videos on my Mac, and I couldn't find it anywhere. It works great and withholds the clarity of the video. The product was well explained, and I am pleasured to say that I received exactly what I needed/was looking for (and quick!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Used to modify the end of my 6 to 6 pin Monster cable. This was an economical solution.
