Mini Director's Viewfinder is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have tool for any Director or DP I'm a DP specializing in corporate and TV work. I also direct. This little viewfinder is a wonderful, affordable tool that gives you everything a bigger version does at a fraction of the cost and the size. Solid construction, excellent optics and a wide variety of formats makes this a perfect tool for your needs. And when done shooting, just throw it in your pocket... or better yet, just keep it there, in case you get a great shot idea. .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked for a bit... Well, I was really excited when I first started to use this product, but it's kind of limited and after using it for about 7 or 8 times it broke. It's not very durable and to me, it was more like a toy than a real tool for work. Consider this if you're buying...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Functional I've used this product a few times now, enough to be acquainted with it. It's very clear up until the longest focal lengths, and then it becomes very blurry. Still usable for framing, but a bit annoying. The frame you're looking at is also smaller than life (proportionally, so the focal lengths are still accurate), but you get used to it. The frame-size ring also slides a little too easily. It's a solid build from what I've seen, metal and hard rubber. Light, easy to use, and convenient. For the price, though, this is a necessity for new or indie directors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Small Package With Lots of Punch Used in the field and studio to frame shots for independent film projects; also used as a pre-visualization tool in assessing locations and for still photography work. The Mini Director's Viewfinder provides a broad range of aspect ratios and focal lengths, and the capability to quickly switch one or both -- all in a compact design that keeps the instrument handy but unobtrusive. The construction is solid, and there's no sloppiness or looseness in the controls. The focusing eyepiece will accommodate a comfortable spectrum of eye-points. Excellent value!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A nice souvenir from NYC I wanted to bring back a nice and useful souvenir from NYC and I though of this which is kind of unique and a touch more useful than the usual thing. It's robust, made of metal and come in a fake leather pouch. The fake leather already peals off, but whatever... The viewfinder isn't especially big, but again, for this price, it's more like a fancy gadget to brag on set. Also, once I'll have found the correspondence with my BMPCC, it might turn useful ! It ain't perfect, but it's worth it's price !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't feel like a French New Wave poser I love this thing. I don't feel like some poser when I'm lining up shots, thinking about framing, wondering if my finger frame is 16:9 or 20:107. Downside is you frame shots that are too difficult to get using a big honking camera.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact I use my Viewfinder on location and in the studio. It is very portable and works well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great viewfinder I definitely like this viewfinder. As a cinematographer working primarily with video and some film, I wanted a viewfinder that was cheap(er), easy to operate and functioned with a variety of camera setups. This viewfinder does them all, and it has definitely benefited me on set.
