This system offers a stable platform for lightweight camera packages.

Fluid Head
Small and lightweight, the Bogen 701HDV Pro Fluid Video Mini Head is capable of accommodating payloads up to 9.5 lbs, and was designed principally to support the latest digital video equipment, including Mini DV and prosumer/professional grade HDV camcorders.
Tripod Legs
The Bogen/Manfrotto 055XV Tripod Legs shares the same quality level as the standard 055XB model, but has non-glare finishing and comes with top leg sections finished in a dark green color, styled for the outdoor enthusiast. The 055XV builds on the success of the 3011/3021 series, but has been redesigned to offer even better ergonomics of the leg-angle release mechanism. Manfrotto 701HDV,055XV reviews

701HDV,055XV Mini Pro View Aluminum Tripod System is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from good value I use the tripod to suport my canon XH-A1. it seems like a good fit so far,I've only had it out in the feild a few times. I was'nt able to test drive this or any other set befor buying. This head and leg setup feels like a good comprise between cost and size comparisons' but I can only compare what I have to other writen dscriptions. Not having an adjustable drag was a concern for me when comparing products. So far I'm OK with no choice of optional drag settings, I just hope I don't regret not spending more to get that feature.Speaking of speding more, a person sure can wrap a lot of money with this hobby!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tripod, Great Price I recently purchased this tripod to use with my Canon 7D while shooting video. It is the perfect size tripod for my Canon 7D even with a small rig setup. It does what I need it to do, it has smooth movements and the quick release levers are really nice. The only thing I was unaware of upon buying it was that the photo of it looked like the tripod was all black, but in sunlight the top of each leg is a military hammered green finish. I don't really mind it, but it was a little bit of a surprise for me. I also wish it came with a spare plate, but that is just me being picky. Great product, great quality, and great price. Cannot go wrong with this tripod for a smaller camera while shooting video or even photos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome This tripod and head combo is awesome. I have a d7000 mounted on it most of the time and the head is great for panning and movement style shots or video. The tripod is burly and the only complaint i have would be that its a bit heavy - having said that it is a quality made tripod outfitted for the outdoors so in a way this is exactly what you want l. Overall, the head and tripod work excellent together for almost any kind of photo/video work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty tripod for a decent price... This is one well-built tripod. It's a bit heavy, but for my videography use it will be perfect. If I could give it one word it would be quality. It just has that beefy build with solid hardware on it that feels like it will last a lifetime, and I don't throw words like that around often. I like the 701 head, which nicely holds my Canon GL2. I love the fluid movement, which- whether caused by actual fluid contraption or some other friction control means- it moves very gracefully with loads of control. The head also has a nice double lock for the quick relase plate, so no dumping your thousands dollar camera by accident. The tripod lacks a (what's the word for the piece that holds the 3 legs together (about half way down the legs?)support, but the way it is built you won't need it. It is VERY stable without it, so no worries about your legs slipping out, this baby is rock solid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great For Smooth Camera Work I work for a church and we recently bought two of these to use during our Sunday live streams. Our pastor moves a lot on stage and the fluid head is great for tracking him. Also they have solid legs. They are mainly used in the sanctuary so we do not take them down a lot. It works so well I am considering buying one for my personal use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid tripod, smooth reliable fluid head I've just begun using this tripod that has been designed for outdoors use. While I mainly film lectures, the flexibility offered by multiple expansion of the tripod legs base is a really fine feature that make it very adaptable to indoor AND outdoor video situations. The fluid head offers a smooth and solid platform.
