question

I use a Norman 400B flash with the Norman flash head that mounts directly to my Stroboframe. This Custom Bracket looks like it is only for shoe mount flashes, is there a removeable show mount on it that can be left off for mounting the Nomran head directly to the bracket? Hope that makes sense, THANK YOU, if it can accomodate my Norman I am going to order it
Asked by: Anonymous
The flash bracket does not come with a cold shoe. That is additional. The top of the bracket has a male thread. It should screw in to the bottom of the Norman 400 head. It does have attached to the bracket anti twist guards for shoe mount flash and those can come off if they are in the way.

question

Hi, Is this bracket compatible with the Stroboframe quick release anti-twist plate? Also, what about the Stroboframe quick release flash shoe. Is it compatible with that? I'm looking for something to complement my Stroboframe Pro T, which I love, but it doesn't fit into my camera bag and so I rarely have it with me.

No, the Custom Brackets brand works with their own accessories only in most cases.

question

Hello B&H: how many holes are on the upper arm of the flash bracket? It looks like there are at least two additional 1/4 inch holes near the vertical arm of the bracket in the picture. I would like to add an additional cold shoe to one of those holes. Thanks for your help!!

There are three holes on the upper arm of the Custom Brackets Folding-T Flash Bracket.

question

I have the 70D with 580ex. I do not have the extra battery pack on the bottom of my camera, will this fit without that? Some say there needs to be a lock on the flash holding arm so it doesn't swing freely. Has that changed? Also what is the the anti twist bar? Is that needed to purchase extra? Thanks Photography by Jeanene

Hello !Yes it will got without th extra battery, this is how I use it. About the arm that swings freely, you can pull the anti-twist button so it doesn't turn around when you don't want to. There might be a better flash unit but I haven't found it yet ans it does the job I bought it for.

question

From the Q&A I understand that the Canon 5D Mkiii with the battery grip will work with this bracket. What is the lens to flash distance with this combo?
Asked by: Marc O.
I have a D750 with grip on the bracket. No problem for the Canon. I'm sure. Not familiar enough with your equipment to give you specific measurements, BUT... If you are trying to eliminate red eye, some shadows and gain off camera versatility, then you have purchased the right piece. Recommend you get the CN JR Anti-twist plate. You will need it, I bet.
