    Sennheiser ew 135 reviews

    ew 135 G3 Wireless Handheld Microphone System with e 835 Mic - A (516-558 MHz) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best wireless systems I have used I've used this particular model in a smaller church and in a large performing arts center. Battery life is pretty great, we use rechargeables, and they still run several services (read, weeks) without needing to be swapped. I love the battery life indicator on the receiver/transmitter, so I know when the battery is running low. The sound is something I would expect out of a wired mic, and it's built exceptionally. Sennheiser's done it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Cadillac of wireless mics Im Dan, a 66 year young mobile and former radio dj from Burton Michigan. Have owned many makes of wireless mic but this model Sennheiser has the clearest most nuanced yet rugged capability ever. Hundreds of frequencies so i never get any interference from radio stations or other wireless users. Rich full sound that makes me sound better than i really do with a kind of natural depth and reverb it's hard to explain but easy to recognize when you hear it. My customers from corporate to brides all remark on this mic. Mine is 3 years old with hundreds of hours and even after being dropped it's super rugged. In car show use has a real world range of 300 feet. Only negatives: goes thru AA batteries fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Comparable sound quality to wired E835 microphones. We are using this in a relatively small church (150 attendees). We have 3 EW135 (handheld) systems and 1 EW112 (lavalier). For 4 units, the frequency setup is relatively easy, especially since in my location, there are many available channels in the A frequency range. The quality of sound is close to what we get with our E835 wired microphones with almost no discernible background noise! The microphones are about 40 feet away from the receivers. There is a low wall between the mics and receivers which does not seem to be a problem with reception in our case. The only gripe I have is with the power adapter. The adapter is not too bulky but is somewhat long. If plugged into our Furman Merit M8X2 rack power units, the adapter hangs down and gets in the way of things below it. Note, with only one unit (the EW 112), we were able to use the receiver on low squelch mode. With the addition of the three handhelds (4 receivers now) the receivers have to be set on high squelch or I get the most horrible static and crackling when the transmitters are off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Wonderful system to have. I purchased 6 of these and 8 of the 450 MHz band. They have excellent range and no EMI or RF interference from electronics, which was what was wrong with our other microphones. If you have more than 4 installed in rack or similar confined space, strongly consider getting the ASA-1 antenna splitter to cut down on audio issues.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Annoying but durable I am a DJ and purchased this mic to use for weddings. This was an upgrade from my previous mic, which worked fairly well, but it was inexpensive and felt cheap. I use Sennheiser products for video work, and their lav system is fantastic, so I believed the handheld mic system would be too. The great things about the mic are that it sounds great and it feels like a professional microphone. If I was running sound for concerts, where the performer was in front of me, on stage, this would be perfect. BUT.... I am DJing events at different locations every week. Some indoor and some outdoor. It is either an officiant or a drunk bridesmaid using the mic, so sound quality is not my main concern. I mention 'annoying' in my title because there is no MUTE button on the mic. It is either on or off. As a one man band, I need to run and pass the mic around, sometimes past my PA system, so I either have to turn the mic's volume down then grab the mic and move it, then run back to my mixer and turn the mic back up, or turn it off completely, then turn it back on. It also picks up major feedback from the PA system, so don't put it anywhere near the speakers. The transmission range is kind of poor too. This is my other major issue with the mic. If I have an outdoor event, I need to make sure the mic is no further than 50-100 ft from the receiver or else I get interference. This is a major fail if the bride is doing her vows and the feed goes scratchy. My bottom line is that I now have to search for a new mic. The mute function is extremely important to me. And I leave this review because not all DJs are the same. I see other DJs love this mic, and I do love the quality, but it is lacking functionality that would make my job much easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Microphone Hands down one of the best microphones I've ever owned. The synching is extremely easy, the sound produced is extremely natural. I've owned other mics before including shure and other sennheiser mics but this one takes the cake. Well built, ( like a tank ) and easy to operate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A performance pro for reliable use Dependable handheld system, the 835 capsule is a great mic capsule. Known for flexability, we actually use 8 of these systems with mostly vocals but on occaision they get used as kick drum pick up, or on bass cabinet direct mic.
