Key Features
- F-Mount Lens/DX Format
- 15-36mm (35mm Equivalent)
- Aperture Range: f/3.5 to f/22
- Three Aspherical and Two ED Elements
Covering ultra-wide to wide-angle, the AF-S DX NIKKOR 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED from Nikon is a 15-36mm-equivalent DX-format lens well-suited for landscape, cityscape, interior, and architectural photography. The optical design uses three aspherical elements and two extra-low dispersion elements to control aberrations and distortions in order to realize a high degree of sharpness and clarity. A Super Integrated Coating also suppresses flare and ghosting to increase overall contrast and color rendering when working in backlit and harsh lighting conditions. Additionally, a Silent Wave Motor enables fast, near-silent autofocus performance, along with full-time manual focus override, to benefit both stills and video applications.

question
If I were to use this lens on Nikon D2X, would I still get the 10-24mm or would it translate to 15-36mm? Thank you!
This lens would have the 35mm equivalent focal length of 15-36mm on the D2X, or any other DX format camera.

question
I have a Tamron 10-24mm lens on a Nikon D5100 and I am unhappy with lack of sharpness of focus when doing interior shots for real estate listings. Will I see a significant improvement with the Nikon 10-24 lens?
Yes you will see an improvement of the sharpness and contrast and color accuracy with the Nikon version of this lens. It is very sharp and overall a very popular and well reviewed lens with our customers.

question
Will this 10-24mm work with the D700 Body?
That lens is a DX lens. It can be used on a D700 body but will crop the image by 1.5 times just like you were using a DX camera like a D7100. The default setting on the camera is to do this. You can over ride to shoot full frame with DX lenses but then you will get a vignette around the image.

question
What's the best wide angle lense for a Nikon D7100?
This 10-24 has been well reviewed and accepted as a great DX lens. I use it a lot and don't seem to get any bad edge distortions at wide angles, but you have to watch your lens position relative to the ground or horizon, try not to angle it up or down. It's lightweight and focuses quickly.

question
Is this lens good enough for astrophotography? Shall I get this or the Nikon 12-24mm which has a lower f stop?
Either would be a good choice. Maximum aperture difference would not be critical for this kind of work, but having a 10mm lens can be more useful for a more dramatic sky.

question
I was wondering if this Nikkor 10-24mm lens on my Nikon D500 camera would work like the Nikkor 10.5mm fisheye lens. What I am asking is would I need to get both lens for my camera or would the results be about the same. Would it be alright to get both lens or would I just need one or the other. Thank You!
The 10-24 lens is designed to have far less distortion than that of the 10.5mm fisheye.
