    Davis & Sanford VOYAGER3H reviews

Vista Voyager Tripod with FZ10 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 82.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Value from entire selection When I looked at the models in the $300 range, I saw sturdy well built tripods. When I saw this model, I saw the same sturdy well built quality and thought it must be mistakenly labeled for the price of $.So it's your choice. Pay over $300 and get well built or pay $ and get well built. This tripod is the best in this price range. I took 1 hour to make my decision and looked at every tripod on the racks from every company. I hadplanned on spending between $200 and $300 and walked out spending only $ for the same quality. SOLD!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy and Versatile I got this tripod as an upgrade. I like it because it is sturdy versatile and affordable. The pan and tilt features are smooth and secure. Since it's a grounder there's quite a bit of adjustment in height. All of the adjustments are easy to make and are secure. It folds down to a compact size and comes with a nice padded case, that has a side pocket for adjustment wrenches and the removable pan tilt handles. The biggest drawback is the weight, 4 lbs. If you can get by that, then this should be fine. I'm considering replacing the head with the FX 10 fluid head for video, but that will add more weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tripod at a very modest price I got this tripod 2 weeks back and the build quality is very good. Putting my Nikon D90 with 18-105mm feels completely stable and safe. It definitely can take double the weight. The head is very stable at any angle and does not have any creep. The center post has two pieces, one of which can be taken off for low height photography. The best part about this tripod is that if you want to have an option of ball head or any other head, you can always keep changing the head depending on your needs. The weight is a-bit more than my earlier cheap tripod but I'm fine with it. It can definitely be carried on long hikes without any issue. The only problem that I have is that it came with the compass needle displaced from its position and so it is of no use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great travel tripod - A* value Great sturdy little tripod! Easy to use, solid components and feels likes its been made/influenced by one of the more premium brands. I bought and used this while visiting NYC and id performed perfectly for the trip. I shot long exposures both day and night, with no camera shake. I also shot a lot of time-lapse with it also. Its great for traveling as its quick to setup and pack away and also has its own shoulder bag for protection. The only reason I gave it just 4 stars was because in order to pack it away you have to remove one head handle for it to fit in the bag (being picky, this is a little annoying) however this does not take away for its performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dollar for dollar alsolutely THE BEST tripod you can buy. I've bought nearly 30 of these tripods over the last few years. Mostly for beginning photography students, but also as gifts for family and friends. They offer a great range of positioning options and stand up well under the frequent abuse of beginning photography students. When parts go missing, which happens frequently with students, replacements are readily available. Moreover all screws, nuts & bolts are easily found at any hardware store. Dollar for dollar by far the best tripod you'll find anywhere.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Lightweight The tripod itself seems a little too lightweight nor do I like the plastic leg locks. However, the 10 year warranty makes it worth a try. The FZ10 3-Way Head is VERY nice as is the quick release. Legs are not as tall as I had hoped. No manufacture spec but I estimate the height to be about 50 without the center being raised. Not recommended for the serious enthusist.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from cheap product--but pretty much worth it not the worst tripod I've ever purchased, but I think you could do better for the money, and definitely could do way better with a bit more money. It's not horrible, but it's definitely not well thought out and the materials and workmanship feel pretty shoddy. I purchased it as a light-weight, cheap way to add legs to a time-lapse dolly. I'll get a better replacement when I get the chance. I've heard good things about the carbon fiber polaroid tripod. Maybe I'll try that. I have a cheap sunpak platinum pro and that has better features and lasted quite a while, given it's price.
