Ball Head for Gorillapod SLR-Zoom is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 116.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little ball head It's a great little tripod head and really easy to use for beginners like me. The level is incredibly helpful for lining up shots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as other ballheads The good thing about it is that it's small and it fits and looks well together with the Gorillapod. The quick release works fine too. The ball joint is what I don't quite like, when I loosened it, it was still stuck and I had to kinda force it to loosen up, hence it's hard to do any kinda fine tuning which I could do with my other ballheads. I used it with my Nikon F100 and light lenses like the 50mm/f1.4. I didn't try it with a heavier lens, as I think the Gorillapod may not be strong enough to hold heavier lens with that camera. This ballhead probably can handle it though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way more than meets the eye. I purchased the tripod and camera ball mount about a year ago. They both do what they are designed for. Superb quality and durability. I moved and misplaced the small level clip so can't use the thing any more and can't find the replacement clips. If I could find them I would buy one for each camera and a few spares. Excellent system, just don't lose the camera clip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Must Have I had received the Gorillapod SLR Zoom tripod as a gift but found it a bit difficult to achieve certain angles and i was constantly adjusting the tripod so I purchased the Joby Ballhead. To my surprise, it was very solid and makes using the tripod so much easier! The bubble level is nice touch and takes the guesswork out of making your photo perfectly level. I've mostly used this product for photographing fireworks and self portraits. This ballhead in conjunction with the SLR Zoom tripod are a great size for traveling. I use this product with my Canon T1i with Tamron 18-270 lense.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is an essential accessory! The Gorillapod by itself is a nice little product. The ballhead increases its usefulness by 100%. Although you can mount your camera directly to the Gorillapod you are then at the mercy of how you have to orient the legs. The ballhead eliminates that dependency--its range of motion is huge. It has a slot on the side so you can even tip the camera a full 90 degrees. The set-screw lock is nice and chunky, very easy to get a grip on and turn. The mount itself pops off the ball joint so you can easily remove the camera. Bubble level is a nice addition. If you have the Gorillapod you really need this to unlock its full potential.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Joby Ball Head: project-specific I bolted together some hardware brackets to mount two cameras on one tripod, one above the other about 30 apart for a stereometrology setup. In order to keep the bracket vertical, I needed a ball head for each camera in order to aim each camera separately without unbalancing the tripod. The Joby ball heads did the job simply, cleanly, and easily. And I like their designerly styling, too. I had no problem articulating them and locking them in place. I especially like how the top plate could detach from the boll joint in case I needed to change a battery or memory chip. They were each holding a Nikon D3100 with a standard lens. I look forward to more uses for them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent mount for Remote Flash I use this head for mounting my SB-910 as remote flash and this works extremely well. The ball head is convenient for tilting and turning the flash head in all directions even if you use the commander mode to communicate with the flash.
