Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I bought this wide angle adapter to film the local high school football game. I have Sony FDR-AX100, but the result is bad. I read the other reviewer's comment. Maybe he used it on a professional or college football field. For me, the outside areas (about 70% of my screen) are very unclear. I wouldn't mind the top and the bottom are curved, but the majority of my viewing area is extremely blurry. I have to return it. But I found out that there is a simple solution to film the football field. Just add a good wide angle lens (like Canon 16-33mm) to a decent DSLR camera (like Canon 6D) then you can get Full HD image on 10 yard line to 10 yard line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 16X9 comes in clutch when Opteka fails to I bought this lens for my hpx250 for filming snowboarding and skateboarding. I ordered an opteka .45x about 5 months ago and i got the run around until about 2 weeks ago when i was todl it was discontinued so i had to go with this lens. This lens is twice the price of the opteka yet it came in 2 days no problem. Opteka couldnt even send me an email back let alone a lens. Moral of the story, this lens is great for what i do and opteka is a horrible company, which B&H doesnt even have contact info for. Dont buy opteka.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality and Performance! I have an Sony FDR-AX100 4K cam and this screw on converter was perfect for the extra width I needed. The quality of the video is ideal and the best I found for this camera. I have tried others but the sharpness on those on the edges were really feathered compared to this one. It comes with a nice case and lens cap but the cap fits a bit loose so I had to add a small adhesive strip to snug it up a bit. The quality of the glass is excellent. The casing of the lens is all high grade aluminum and none of it is plastic which makes it very sturdy. There are some instances where I do not want the fisheye effect so I use applications to remove it and have the awesome wide video images without that effect. Overall, the lens is very professional unit and performs how I wanted so the price was definitely worth it. I also have the wide version converters of this 16x9 product and they work well too. I have found that 16x9 products are very good quality and it appears to be the case.
