Sea & Sea MDX-5D MKII reviews

MDX-5D MKII Housing for Canon EOS 5D Mark II is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Everything changing Good product and have a good specification but don't have AF-ON button and when I taking video or using live view I not using auto focus! Because don't have AF-ON button interface!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Housing for 5D Mark II The new design of the 5D Mark II housing, compared to the previous 5D housing, is very good. The quality of the aluminum is much improved and the ease of use and simplicity of the O-Ring management is great. Being able to switch from optical framing and focus to Live-view with easy access to the Live-View AF focus button. What is great about the 5D Mark II, is even though I am unable to switch my lens using the custom flat port (EF-100mm), while using live view I was able to do 1:1 macro shots since essentially the camera is in manual operation unless you activate AF. So, for me it was the best of both worlds. I had no problems with the new housing. My previous housing had a leak after 2 years of use around the strobe cable connection. As I do not have experience with other housings, I'm not sure if it is heavier, but I did have to use both arm floats and a ring float on the macro port to comfortably use one handed in mild current (Ultralight arms floats and ring float).
