The Elinchrom EL 19294 RQ Ranger Quandra Battery Box attaches to the bottom of the Elinchrom Ranger Q flash power pack and provides the electrical charge to power it. It contains a long-lasting 12V gel-electrolyte battery, with no memory effect--it can be topped up at any charge level.

Elinchrom EL19294 reviews

EL 19294 RQ Ranger Quadra Battery Box is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Watch out for a poor charger connector Having a spare battery is essential, especially when the shoot may take longer or you may need to use larger power than usual. So I have some of these, and I rotate them for shoot and charge cycle. One of my Quadra Battery has very tricky DC connector to accept the charger plug. I have to push to one side pretty firmly to get it to be charged. I wish Elinca used a bit better connector, not the cheap consumer grade DC jack, for this professional equipment. Also, the stuff is overpriced, as this is essentially just a sealed lead acid gel battery. They should give us lithium ion polymer battery at this price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok at best at full power You will only get about 80 full power pops on fast recycle then the Quadra forces slow recycle. So your 3 second recycle goes to 5, 6, 7, or 8 seconds for the next 70-80 pops...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product at a great price I've been using these same batteries with my Elinchrom Quadra Ranger packs for some years now. They seem to keep a charge really well and don't really weight all that much. That said, I've backpacked three Quadra kits of them to the top of a ten thousand foot mountain peak and carried them from Coney Island to just north of Central Park for photo shoots. I know their a little bigger and heavier then the lithium ion batteries but it's not worth the price difference. These are great batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extra Battery The Quadra Ranger has been my favorite light modifier that I have ever owned. It is light weight and very portable and easy to fit into hard to hide places. The battery allows me to use the unit for longer length of time during the shoot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long lasting Seems to work well. I've used it twice from fully charged until drained and I was able to get roughly 4-500 shots with the pack. Obviously I wasn't on full power the entire time but it held up fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great if you need more flashes Nice extra battery to take on a shoot if you need more flashes before you can recharge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good basic battery... Longer and heavier than the Lithium Ion unit, yet works just fine for me.
