Wide-angle zoom is designed for APS-C-format Canon EF-mount cameras and provides a 16-32mm equivalent focal length range.
Constant f/3.5 maximum aperture is suitable for working in available light conditions.
Two Extra-Low Dispersion (ELD) elements and one Special Low Dispersion (SLD) element are featured in the optical design, and help to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations for improved clarity and color accuracy.
Four aspherical elements are used to help limit distortion and spherical aberrations and also contribute to greater overall sharpness and accurate rendering.
Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to individual elements to minimize flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions.
Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM), along with an internal focusing design, realizes quick and quiet autofocus performance as well as full-time manual focus override.
Minimum focusing distance of 9.4" is available throughout the zoom range.
Seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

question

it works with canon t5?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, the DC designation means it is made for the aps-c sensor which is what the t5 has. It is not made for full frame cameras such as the 6D, 5D mark 3, etc.

Will this fit a canon EOS R with an EF lens ...

Will this fit a canon EOS R with an EF lens adapter without vignetting around the edges?
Asked by: Jason B.
This lenses covers and APS-C sized sensor. You can use it with an EF adapter, but you will need to set the EOS R camera to a cropped sensor mode.

question

I know this lens is listed here as an EF-S mount lens, but there is a difference between this lens and its Canon 10-22mm counterpart, which protrudes a bit. Also, this Sigma 10-20mm lens fits and works great on my Metabones EF adaptor, while other Ef-S lenses will NOT work. I think this lens is actually an EF lens, unless someone can explain to why this fits on my Metabones, and looks different than the Canon EF-S? Thanks!
Asked by: Christopher
This lens is technically a Canon EFS mount lens, BUT, unlike Canon's own stable of EFS lenses which are mechanically incompatible with full frame EOS camera mounts, all of the Sigma (and Tamron and Tokina) EFS-type lenses are actually made with the EF mount, and will fit all full framer EOS cameras. It's possible that there may be some exception to this rule, but only in the sense that the rear element may sit too far back into the mirror box chamber, interfering with some mirror functions, but I very much doubt that this is one of them. Of course, the reason for third party manufacturers to label these lenses as EFS, rather than EF, despite their actual mounting hardware, is that they are designed to project a smaller EFS-sized (APS-C) image circle back onto the camera sensor, so that, although they may fit on EF as well as EFS mount bodies, the images that they make will hard vignette on a full frame sensor, usually until you get to wide angle zooms' longest focal length equivalents (like 16-20mm in the case of this lens) where they will merely be a little fuzzy with softer vignetting in the corners of a full frame camera. Good luck.

Is this lens compatible via sigma MC-11 to Sony A7Rlll? Thank you
Asked by: Iakov
Yes, the lens will work on the A7RIII but you will only use about 40% of the sensor, thereby reducing image quality to about 16mp.
