question

Can I use with Nikon D 7200. Do is support auto focus?
Asked by: Anonymous
Absolutely. I use it with a D7100 and it's a great lens. Be aware, though, that there is an older version of this lens that requires a firmware upgrade to focus properly with D5300, D5500, and presumably, the D7200. The way to tell if you have the new, upgraded version is to check the side of the box for D5300 Compatible . I would assume a high-volume outfit like B&H would exclusively be selling the new one, but it never hurts to check. If you do end up with the older version, it needs to be sent to Sigma for a free firmware upgrade.

Which lens is better? Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM Lens or Sigma EX DC HSM Aspherical IF 10-20mm f/4.0-5.6 HSM EX DC Lens? Thanks.
Asked by: Paul
The Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 is an older discontinued lens than the f/3.5 version. Optically the 3.5 is better and is faster for low light shooting.

Can this used with Nikon D3300?
Asked by: Mariana
Yes, but be aware that there are multiple versions of this lens. Make sure the lens box has the phrase D5300 Compatible on it. There are some focusing issues with the older copies of this lens that requires a firmware update from Sigma.

Would this work for a D700 or do you have a better more moderately priced lens you can recommend?
Asked by: Kim
While I love this lens, I do not believe it's compatible with a D700. It's a DX format lens and I use it with my Nikon D7100. Nothing's cheap, at least if you want quality pictures, but if I was considering a wide lens for a full-frame, I'd look at the Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm f/2.8 D. You might be able to pick it up used at B&H for under $300. I've bought used lens from them and have no complaints.
